China's Air Force flags regular patrols in South China Sea

The Chinese Air Force has confirmed it undertook a recent H-6K bombers patrol around Huangyan Island above the South China Sea, and said such regularized patrols would continue.

Air Force spokesman Shen Jinke said on Monday that the People's Liberation Army Air Force had conducted a combat readiness patrol above the South China Sea, and the Chinese bombers had patrolled airspace near Chinese islands and reefs, including Hunagyan Island.

The recent patrol involved bombers, fighter jets and reconnaissance planes, according to Shen.

"Based on the need of the Air Force for fulfilling its missions and tasks, the combat readiness patrol to the South China Sea by the Air Force servicemen will continue on regularized basis," Shen said.

The patrol aimed at boosting maritime training, promoting the capability of tackling various security threats and safeguarding state sovereignty and security, Shen said.

Actually we are defending the rights of our ancestors who found and named these rocks, opened the sea route of trade between China,Southeast Asia, India, Persia, and Africa, in a time when the local "pinoys" fished with spears and sticks. In this world now there are only two countries that claim SCS their "Core Interests", ie China and the US. Funny, isn't it?

All along I've been saying China has been way too soft, timid and passive every time the US shows its aggression towards China.

You don't deal with an aggressive empire like the US with timid behaviour like China has shown.

Now China has realised that no matter what China does, the empire will always try to pull China down.
Finally China is not backing down.

However, more steps need to be taken such as a much bigger military buildup and a few policy changes.

I'm glad Chinese members here and most importantly the Chinese leadership are starting to realise what I've been saying all along.
