Kashmir reeling from worst violence since 2010 as 30 killed

Its law forced upon them by a occupying power

Not according to the law. We never walked in on our own. We were asked in, and we agreed, conditionally. Read up on those conditions; it's a sobering experience for those who haven't had the chance to do it before.

Disobeying the laws of a occupying power has always been a act of resistance throughout history from dumping tea into Boston harbour to Gandhi's hippy sit ins

First, the Boston Tea Party was not about an occupying power. It was the home government imposing taxes without commensurate representation in the houses of Parliament.

Second, the laws prevalent in Kashmir are not Indian law. They are Kashmiri law. By the constitution of India and the constitution of Kashmir, neither IPC nor CrPC is valid in Kashmir. You should find out these things.

You are joking, right? Which are these many? Perhaps I could help sort things out for you on this point at least?
Thank you for clearing my doubts. Please explain Junagarh, Hyderabad and Jodhpur (through bribery and consultations) which I can definitely think of...

I suppose POTA are also non Indian laws and Kashmiris also allow extra judicial killings upon themselves..what a farce

Forgive me if I'm mistaken...but I cant find this information on in the article. Only live ammunition is mentioned...
Read this article to understand why the live ammunition were used-
http://m.thehindu.com/news/national...-says-jammu-kashmir-police/article8831543.ece

Or this for a neutral source-
http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/...-fire-kashmir-protesters-160709125142182.html
"clashes erupted in several districts in southern Kashmir as thousands of residents hurled rocks at Indian troops, who responded by using live ammunition, pellet guns and tear gas. "

i always wonder on people of India who are so hearless.....
dont they see thousands coming out in front of millions of IA troops and raising slogans and waiving flags of Pak.....
Indian Oppression... killing a 13 years old kid...and several women.....
Well the nation with least self respect and humanity is none other than Indian....

As an indian i am happy that they have the freedom to wave a pakistani flag and protest like they do.
Tell me, how do u treat people in ur country who support india? There was a case of a virat kohli fan who waved the indian flag, he was sentenced to 6 yrs. This is a story that came in the media. Pakistani army has bombed FATA with artillery and airstrikes and i wont even mention the punshment for descent in china. We have never used heavy weapons.
If kashmir becomes free, it will turn out worse than iraq and syria, and it is our moral obligation to set the discourse right and prevent that from happening.

Thank you for the links. You must realise that there are two sides to any story. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom flighter. As I can comprehend from the links above, this man was a Hero to the Kashmiri people so naturally there is some resentment...

The following from the above Al Jazeera article summarizes the problems:-

Most people in Kashmir have long resented the Indian presence, and support rebel demands for an independent Kashmir or a merging with Pakistan. More than 68,000 people have been killed in the uprising and the subsequent Indian military crackdown in Indian administered Kashmir.

It's their law. It's their constitution, not the Indian constitution. It's the Kashmir Police in the first instance. They do not have to be loyal to an occupier, which is your term, with which I do not agree. They do have to be obedient to the rule of law. If they disobey, they are criminals. They are then liable to restraint, by violent means if necessary. Society cannot function by people taking the law into their own hands. They cannot dictate how those who do not agree with their views should behave. They cannot arrogate the power of making rules to themselves. At the conceptual level they can do all they want. At the intellectual level, they are free. It is not free, and it is not acceptable to break the law.
By your defination
starting from Gandhi and Nehru, Bhagat Singh and all other alike, all your Indian Army and Mukti Jodhas of 1971 war.. all are criminals.
Accept it and debate is over.
I will accept all Kashmiris as traitors, terrorist and criminals right now

Are you aware how many times I have written on this precise set of issues on PDF? Are you sure you want me to go through it for one more time? Will you guarantee that I will not have to answer these questions every six months, with every crop of new members?

Do you still insist that I continue, before you have consulted the archived material?

As Shahid Afridi famously said, Indians are chhote dil waaley.

So dont be surprised. We will kill anyone who dreams of breaking up our country. We won't count the bodies. If it means killing each n every jihadi supporter, WE WILL DO IT.
