Pakistan working on Nuclear Submarine ?

A Pakistani defense analyst Mansoor Ahmed recently told Defense News that he has for some time believed Pakistan was working on a nuclear propulsion system for submarine applications and that Pakistan already has a functional submarine launched variant of the Babur cruise missile.

Pakistan's Babur cruise missile is very similar to the U.S. BGM-109 Tomahawk, and it can carry conventional or nuclear warheads, according to Ahmed.

Ahmed says Pakistan is now gearing up to build its own SSN/SSGN flotilla as a way of deterring India and maintaining the strategic balance in South Asia. However, Ahmed argues that Pakistan should build ballistic missile submarines. to fully ensure the credibility of its deterrent.

I too believe so.As information are not yet disclosed, it might be a sudden surprise for nation.
For ballistic missile launching platform, it might take time for PN to build it but only near chance is to buy such kind of submarines from China and focus on undersea launching Ballistic missile with greater range.

For naval base Babur Cruise, PN should focus on range as well as speed too.So that from distance submarines could hunt their prey.

As mentioned a couple of days ago in some separate thread and a couple of dozen times in the past on different threads, there WAS work going on on nuclear marine propulsion. Not a nuclear submarine but nuclear marine propulsion. That would have actually been the first but THE MAJOR step towards our own indigenous nuclear submarine. However that was all in the base, some 12 years ago. Then the project was put on back burners and is sort of shelved for some years now. THERE IS NOTHING GOING ON CURRENTLY on any such project.

WE need so many other things as well, the problem is who will do that. We are NOT doing anything about that right now. Also i assure you that you can forget about the decade timeline sir, we will be managing the conventional submarines (6 to 8 from China) in time frame. Wont have more then a year or two to spare if any!

Nothing was put on back burner and I posted about Pakistan developing nuclear plants a year ago and what I know is they were actually developed few years and soon we would hear about Nuclear Submarine

As we may all know that "Pakistan" is working on Nuclear Sub Program from last one Decade. which may comp up till 2020. and pakistan has already done it's paper work for "Babur" SLCM. and they may even have done initial simulation test. Now just waiting for a Suitable Sub to make a test launch for Public. so Wait for Type 041 to come or "pakistan's" indigenous SSN.

Please let me know where are we making this N-Sub, Is there any hidden Sub making facility in any of Our Mountains,??????
And from where we are getting the Material that is required to make the body of SUB,?????? R we making that in Pakistan ?? Where?? And What About Other Hundreds of Systems???
And In Last we only have very few like 2 to 3 sites where we can make Subs or where Sub making facilities are available , And USA AND All other Countries don't know or have Any Idea that we are making a N-Sub and it will come out in 2020, Almost ready in one piece and soon going for Sea Trials...
