well, it's a short range missile, and given how virtually all of China's major infrastructure and commercial and population centers are located along its far eastern coast, I'd think they're going to be stationed on our western borders in Punjab, Kashmir, Gujarat and Rajasthan.

I'm just trying to figure out how the IAF would employ their bround based Brahmos assets? I'm sure there is some logic behind it but all IAF ground based missiles thus far have been defensive in nature (SAMs). I'm assuming the IAF's ground based Brahmos would be employed purely for SEAD/DEAD.

In the war of Kosovo, 800+ SAMs were reportedly fired at NATO aircraft and majority of the cases without any radar guidance.

With situational awareness, Brahmos would be able to take out IADS and SAM sites.

This would also reduce the stress on the Air assets (number of sorties required to neutralize the threat).

Absolutely correct. 03 x MR-SAM regiments also inducted,

Harops 15 were inducted in 2010. Figures are more now.

Only for testing. And why would one be testing there in Car Nic? One does need to wonder. I know of one test there wherein K-4 was tested concomitantly last April. That's it.

The only operational Brahmos there are ship borne naval ones that too when ships are transiting. Brahmos is useless based there
