What's new

Analyze of Iran's S-300 which was paraded in army day.

View attachment 301292

The missing peace is the main component that turns the S-300 PMU-2 into a force multiplier it allows you to engage multiple targets using multiple TELs (Lunch Vehicles) simultaneously!!! That is the main thing that distinguishes the S-300 from other SAM systems

If your missing that one peace then your missing the one peace that puts fear in the eyes of your enemy!

It is possible that Iran has this and chose not to risk brining it to a parade but so far there is not prof!!!!

VEVAK, quit whining and pay attention.

The S-300 has NOT BEEN FULLY DELIVERED. The flap lid radar is NOT YET DELIVERED.

And it is the PMU2 SYSTEM.

See this?

One problem with everyone having a camera on his cellphone is that I guess no one needs a resident spy anymore. They should just sit down and watch face book or Instagram and they will know all they need to know!

However, I think this guy exactly knew what he was looking at. Otherwise who takes photo from a truck passing by?

Yeah but this no secret otherwise they would carry it on a covered truck .Not like the guy who denied the chicken but its tail came of his coat . BTW Al-Alam is an Arabic news channel broadcasting from Iran .

It sounds that the first missiles arrived . The question still remains . Which version ??

At least 13 trucks, total if minimum 26 launch tubes.
What is the shelf life of these missiles? Its not like any of them are going to be fired any time soon. (knock on wood)!

I don't really know. I'll guess it's something like 15 years.

As remember there 10 years - it's a guaranteed service life of missiles in tubes without tests etc. After this period , the missiles should be checked every 5 years - make a certain number of test launches of randomly selected missiles. If the number of failures during tests is less than a certain level, then the service life is extended for 5 years. In good storage conditions, most of the missiles can maintain combat capability 20-25 years.

By 20 years they most likely wouldn't be used anyway. Either the S-300 would be dumped completely in favour of an Iranian system, or it would be extensively modified with new missiles and radars.

in 20 years we would have developed laser , the kind they bring down airliners with in the UK

Yes that is for the Big Bird and the absence of something is not prof of anything! And that cuts both way's so we don't know if we are getting the Grave Stone or the Tome Stone!

Regardless, It's the Tome stone that makes the S-300 a force multiplier!
