What's new

India left "disappointed" as US goes ahead with F-16 sale to Pakistan.

F-16 are none issue for India as far as its capability is concerned. India is disappointed as US is supporting Pakistan even after it knows and have specific proofs regarding its association with Terrorism in India. Whole world now knows ISI had used LET to conduct 26/11 Mumbai attack. Specific evidences have emerged & have been provided to Pakistan related to Pathankot attack.

Had this attacks not happened, had Pakistan focused on building a democratic & economically vibrant nation, India would have "Appreciated" US efforts. However, in current situation India is definitely disappointed with this gesture though it has got nothing to do with military power!

Funny our MEA did their Sop and you are shivering top to end .So much insecurity.
Why would my side be insecure about it when the deal is going through?

Your side is being insecure about this deal, therefore hue and cry. Painting your 'hue and cry' as an SOP doesn't hides your insecurity behind it.

Unfortunately for you, Americans tend to their homework. They are aware of both sides of the coin, not just yours.

And F-16 are [indeed] a big issue for India. In capable hands, they will make an ambitious aerial campaign from IAF inside Pakistani territory virtually impossible.

And yes, F-16 are a big issue for India. In capable hands, they can wreak havoc.

Hue and cry ??
Our MEA summons US Ambassador and expressed our dissatisfaction .
We dont give a flying F about your concerns. We will always remember our experience .So next time if US company parked their companies for deals in India ,if situation demands we will kick out them in the name of some other reason .
8 F16 not gonna change anything .But we will show the US what do you mean by business?

You are free to not do any business with the US. In a way, this will be good for both Pakistan and China. Because we won't have to worry about American-backed India against us (American role in development of India in general and strengthening of its military might in particular).

I shall tell you one thing; International affairs are not emotional matters.

Then entire nations have these Hue and Cry dept including yours that ask for parity with India in each and everything :sarcastic:
There was heightened activity from hue and cry dept in Pakistan after we signed nuke deal with US

Oh really ??
India dont need anyones support for our existence unlike some mard i momin who constantly beg US and China for support .
Till now we bought 3 systems from US ( again not some aid , because we wont sell our sovreignity for parity against neighbour ) , all of them are transport and survellliance .
Offensive weapons are always Russian and French .
China will play within the red limit that we draw like they did during 1971 .:D

That's called randi rona in Pakistan and in India itself. May be it is normal and natural for you guys.

Keep telling yourself that but then again grapes our sour, so very sour.

Oh the irony .A Pakistani teaches us about international relations and emotions .
Dude we are the one and only nation that have strong relation with Iran,Israel and KSA at the same time .
We still remember when you cry dearly for a nuke deal with US after we signed with them :D

Indians be like..............

Good deal as they are coming for free. Initially, it was reported that these F-16s will be worth 1.5 billion dollars $ which was mind boggling and extremely questionable. Now, with 700 million dollars, it is making sense as we are not paying for it. So good luck PAF!

However, focus must be more on Chinese, Russian or even French platforms.

Pakistan have its share of success stories in the matters of foreign policy as well.

In-fact, Pakistan faces a more challenging geopolitical situation due to its location.

Personally, I never minded it, not cared about it.

India have its own geopolitical importance in the region, a fact that I acknowledge.

Nair Saab, I'd pay a litte more attention to what @LeGenD is conveying
Almost all of his posts here have been academic with proper citations.

But comparing with India that is nothing .
Our establishments have severe flaws .But like ISRO ,our MEA ,diplomacy is also unique .
Pakistan suffered all these because of your wrong policy .You cant increase your relation with Iran because of KSA .
But in our case on one side we have bilateral exercise with Chinese forces and on other side talks about joint patrol in SCS .

Do you want a Pakistan that is balanced in the matters of foreign policy or another North Korea in the making?

If you are smart enough, you will get my point.

As far as Iran and Saudi Arabia are concerned, Pakistan desires good relationship with both. This is why Pakistan is avoiding participation in Saudi-backed fronts against Iranian-backed fronts in the Middle East even though Pakistan have strategic ties with Saudi Arabia. Recently, Pakistani leadership played an important role in diffusing tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran after the unfortunate embassy-related incident inside Iran. These developments restore my faith in the competency of Pakistan in the matters of foreign affairs.
