take a Tunguska remove the radar and anti air missiles, and add the Kornet EM. wouldn't this be a effective ground attack vehicle??? especially when the enemy is just terrorists with no air force

Pakistan do have something like that what you say ...Baktar Shikan ATGM !

If kornet use Top attack mode than its a good idea otherwise its not cost effective.

why top attack??? I believe Kornet thermobaric can collapse an entire 4 story building that's cheaper than calling in an airstrike.

No because it would be like using an iPhone 6 as a hammer. It can be done theoretically but it would be crazy. This machine does not have adequate armor and too much valuable electronics and an air defense asset risked all for a few rats.

The proper machine for the job would be this: BMPT Terminator - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think this was just an experimental/prototype. The Russians haven't put this into mass production or anything and in fact i read somewhere that this project was discontinued. Though, it was a great idea in my opinion. Very cost effective considering its based on the T-72 Chassis and could be used for any T series Tank chassis.

Maybe its possible but tunguska seems like a lightly armored vehicle. Not sure if it could stand up to a RPG-7 hit or a IED.

Well Terminator 1 was the purpose built one using T-72 design. Later Russians developed Terminator 2 which is an upgrade package for old T-72 hulls. I think this is still available for foreign customers specially those who already have large T-72 fleets. So far only Kazakhstan appears to have bought them.

Russians themselves though plan to move on with their T-15 Armata - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You are thinking with an American mindset. Even the oldest antique air defense systems are considered high value assets in most of the rest of the world. Tunguska by comparison is a modern weapon system. Even the earliest version.

But if the situation ever becomes extremely desperate, then of course it is no longer crazy to use the iPhone 6 as a hammer. This happened when in Afghan war, Russians were defending themselves during Operation Cyclone when they used ZSU-23-4 against American sponsored insurgents. In the current Syrian Civil war also, the Syrian government forces have used ZSU-23-4 in similar capacity to defend themselves against American sponsored insurgents of Operation Cyclone 2, the videos of which are available on youtube:

I love russian tungunska pantsir
