Hello there. I wish to learn members views on organ donation after death. I have two questions to ask as follows:

1. Are you OK with donating your organs after death? if no, any particular reason for that?

2. How many organs you are willing to let go after death?

I donated everything on the DMV application.

Maybe somebody could use some of my spare parts if they work good. 8-)

Yes It is far better to donate your organs after death than let them rot in the soil after death

I am willing to donate anything which might come in use of human beings or science

Everything

Why not? After all, you are dead and none of those organs will help you in afterlife, and needless to say, you can save many lives.

This is a common practice in Iran, many people have donated their organs and saved countless lives after their death. We should promote it even more.

I know Shia school of thought and Clergy has a very progressive stand on this issue. I wish same could be said about Sunni school of thought. @Zarvan

I m ok with donating organs after death..But some people have religious concerns over it like they say that our body is the property of God and should be returned to Him just the same.
People!what r ur comments on this issue?

if God didn't wish for organ transplants... he could have made transplantation incompatible and impossible for human body.

PS: We shouldn't be discussing the religion here but as fa as I understand, our deeds will be answerable on the day of judgement.

Even more controversial is donating one's body to be used as cadaver for anatomical studies and dissection by the Medical students? How about that?

Actually it is incompatible by nature but by using immuno-suppressant we somehow make it compatible.

Cant really ignore that part, for more than social, it is religious pressure or prevalent understanding that renders people less inclined towards letting go their organs post-mortem (after death).
