Link a recon drone to an artillery. The drone has GPS in it. When drone flies over a target, the operator hits send to send GPS location of target to artillery. Artillery has a computer in it, takes inputs the artillery's GPS location and the target's GPS location, calculates fire solution, automatically points the gun and fires. Is this available today?

UAVs are used in Artillery spotter and artillery targeting roles, correct fire and artillery barrage's damage assessment roles, Pakistan has also been doing it in our operations against Terrorists.

the artillery shell would still need a GPS receiver and fins to maneuver like Excalibur or Krasnopol which is expensive

but yeah I don't see why you wouldn't or couldn't use a small drone or big ones to spot the enemy.

The guidance systems are there in Pakistan artillery systems. Yaruk the missile of Pakistan's KRL-122 are guided. About this system im aware rest we use some other artillery platforms who also use the guidance. Plus UAVs are used for the BRBMS missiles guidance as well in Pakistan.

The most collateral damage that is done in this war on terror is by Pak Army Artillery....

The OP means does it have a DSI or not

the one of the most important job of a drone today is identify a target which is off the line of site /beyond horizon or say a mountain to put a laser spot ( like an ariel scout ) and then send back the coardinates of the target to artilerryunit or a weponised arial asset so they can destroy the target really fast

thats what they are for; destruction.
