Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed bilateral cooperation with the focus on joint projects in the energy sector, including the 'Turkish Stream' pipeline.
MOSCOW
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed in a phone call on Tuesday bilateral relations with the focus on energy cooperation, the Kremlin press service said.

"The sides discussed in a friendly atmosphere various aspects of bilateral cooperation…with the focus on joint projects in the energy sector, including the 'Turkish Stream' [gas pipeline]," the Kremlin said.

In December 2014, Russia's energy giant Gazprom and Turkish pipeline corporation Botas signed a memorandum of understanding on the construction of a Black Sea gas pipeline, often referred to as the Turkish Stream pipeline, with an annual capacity of 63 billion cubic meters. The first leg of the Turkish Stream pipeline is scheduled to be constructed by the end of 2016.

Yeah lets hope the sanctions will be lifted soon, you gonna see a trade explosion along side a pipeline from Iran to Europe, and probably even Turkish construction firms operating heavily inside Iran.

Iran is lacking money on many fields, only projects with priority are being funded, nobody would say no to free money, why would they not export gas and oil to Europe?

I wouldnt say so, Turkey and Iran have quite big trade despite sanctions, imagine its being lifted, only direct transit to Europe for Iranian gas is Turkey, now also consider that Europe is seeking for alternatives for Russia, a Turco-Iranian pipeline is inevitable once sanctions are lifted.

i think iranians and europeans dont want to turkey rota thats why all of these conflicts are emerging in our region. for example crimea,syria,yemen.etc. all of them is considered energy ways and everbody want to control that countries.
But you are aware that those conflicts led to the fact that Turkey remains the only secure transit for natural ressources from Asia to Europe?
