Any comparison in prosperity for this part of the world is completely meaningless. The indicators more apt for this region are of poverty and not prosperity.
Pakistan had better economy till few decades back when it started going down and is now in the dumps. India amd BD are doing better but the differences of incomes per capita are so small that it practically shouldn’t be making any difference.
Would be happy and look forward to a day when, any of the nations in this region start comparing themselves to developed countries.

If India is really the shining India as it is claimed to be then Indians wouldn’t be ranked No 1 immigrants to the Middle East and North America

We have our problems too but if I compare an average Pakistani to an Indian, we are far better off. The standard of living of a Pakistani is much better. Even if you go to a village, a Pakistani poor family probably lives in a bigger home, has less financial debt and consumes more meat than average
May be CPEC will not make Pakistan a developed country, but at least it shouldn’t have been on the verge of default after 10 years of CPEC, you know. How come millions of Pakistanis fall under poverty with the magical CPEC!
