What's new

The Baloch issue taking a turn for the worst?

We started giving you tit for tat only after the genius mushraff started its military actions against the baluchis.

Thank God you have accepted that India is helping terror activities and terrorists in Balochistan.

Thank God you have accepted that India is helping terror activities and terrorists in Balochistan.
Actually nobody knows what assistance India has provided to Baloch separatists. One has to keep in mind India has a pacifist PM who isn't likely to very pleased with such developments. Then again he might just leave it to the professionals. India would be foolish not to support the separatist movement in Balochistan. Its an ideal card to play against Pakistan funding, arming and training Kashmiri separatists.

Now don't start of on the "they are freedom fighters while the Baloch separatists are terrorists" tangent. Its all a question of perception.

I said we started celebrating your dead soldiers only after mushraff started the baluch campaign.

Keep it up ;) like u did in case of Bangladesh
but allas India failed to anex BD as planned by her.

As far Balochistan its not like 71 of BD :) we had learned our lesson.

Now don't start of on the "they are freedom fighters while the Baloch separatists are terrorists" tangent. Its all a question of perception.

Yeh u are right India is party to Balochistan, She had went to UN over Balochistan,
There are UN resolutions on Balochistan like Kashmir :D

Keep it up ;) like u did in case of Bangladesh
but allas India failed to anex BD as planned by her.
India made no attempt to annex BD after the 1971 war. This is the third time I've heard you put forward this notion. Kindly support it with facts. The IA was welcomed as liberators in Dhaka so there is no question of the Bangla population fighting an invading IA.

As far Balochistan its not like 71 of BD :) we had learned our lesson.
What is that lesson? India didn't ignite the Balochistan problem. If indeed there exists India assistance to the separatists it is merely as a fuel.

Yeh u are right India is party to Balochistan, She had went to UN over Balochistan,
There are UN resolutions on Balochistan like Kashmir.
Frankly, UN resolutions cannot be enforced on India. So, we don't give a damn.

Keep it up ;) like u did in case of Bangladesh
but allas India failed to anex BD as planned by her.

How did you learn of our secret plan? Would you mind sharing from where you got that info from?

As far Balochistan its not like 71 of BD :) we had learned our lesson.

What lessons have you learned?

How did you learn of our secret plan? Would you mind sharing from where you got that info from?
What lessons have you learned?

Through the same source from which u had learned that Iran will attack Pakistan as it was closer to her :P

Through the same source from which u had learned that Iran will attack Pakistan as it was closer to her :P

There was no source and i never said Iran would attack pakistan,i said it could be worrying for pakistan to have one more nuke country near it and there s a probablity of tensions arisisng btw the two due to the developemtn of gwadar as a port.

Now tell me,how did you know India wanted to annex B'desh.

PS:Grow up and try to understand what a member writes.

Pakistan ex-MP 'illegally held'

Mr Mengal is critical of the government's polices in Balochistan
A former member of Pakistan's parliament has been held in illegal detention for three months, a political ally says.
Abdur Rauf Mengal is being held in the remote town of Zhob in Pakistan's southern province of Balochistan, says MP Choudhury Manzur.

Mr Mengal resigned last year in protest after a Baloch rebel leader was killed.

Hundreds of people have been arrested since a rebellion began in the province, human rights groups say.

Choudhury Manzur stated in parliament that Mr Mengal was being held in solitary confinement and not even his immediate family had been allowed to meet him.

Mr Mengal belongs to the Baloch National Party (BNP), and resigned from parliament last year after rebel leader Nawab Akbar Bugti was killed fighting government forces in Balochistan.

Four senior Pakistan politicians are being held in detention for reasons of political dissent, observers say. Three are from Balochistan.

The province has been the scene of an insurgency for the last three years which has seen hundreds killed and missing, and thousands displaced, according to rights groups and aid agencies.

Politcal dissent, solitary confinement and a general in power.

All from my neighbourhood make a hue and cry about Indian actions when something near to the above is done in Kashmir.

Now what do you all say. There are four in detention all civilians for political dissent. If i get it right, they havnt questioned the integrity or the boundaries of Pakistan, but only questioned the way in which PA operates in Baluch.

If detention is just enough reason for questioning PA methods, then encounters for questioning the integrity and boundaries too is.

Keep it up ;) like u did in case of Bangladesh
but allas India failed to anex BD as planned by her.

Jana, is this some kind of last attempt to save face for Pakistan? That though Pakistan lost ATLEAST, STILL India did not entirely get what it wanted? Is this something of this sort?
Cuz for the final time, India has never wanted to annex Bangladesh, its far better for India to have Pakistan divided into two ie Pakistan and Bangladesh rather than what it was earlier.

As far Balochistan its not like 71 of BD :) we had learned our lesson.
And what is that? After every war, the same thing is said, we have learned our lessons, yet the outcome never changes.

Yeh u are right India is party to Balochistan, She had went to UN over Balochistan,
There are UN resolutions on Balochistan like Kashmir :D
I dont care for UN resolutions or not, if a country is strong enough to bypass UN, then so be it.

balochistan wil not be like BD i am not saying this cauz i am pakistani but look at the facts v lost because our units in BD were cut off and they did not have way to rearm of for replacements to come secondly BD was very heavily populated balochistan is not, infact it is the list populated province in pakistan thirdly v lost cauz india entered the theater there in no chance of that happening here firstly cauz of geography and secondly this would escalate into a nuke war and i dont think that both countries with there growing economies want to risk that
these r my 2 cents in the matter:read:

Grand jirga in Kalat decides to move ICJ

By Saleem Shahid

KALAT, Sept 21: A grand Baloch jirga, convened here on Thursday after about 126 years, announced in a declaration that a case would be filed in the International Court of Justice against what it termed violation of agreements signed by the State of Kalat, the Crown of Britain and the government of Pakistan pertaining to sovereignty and rights of the Baloch people.

The Khan of Kalat, Mir Suleman Daud Ahmedzai, presided over the jirga held in the Shahi Hall. It was attended by 85 tribal chiefs and about 300 elders.

The declaration expressed concern over the ââ¬Ëcolonial occupationââ¬â¢ of the Baloch land by Punjab in violation of the accord signed by the state of Kalat and the government of Pakistan in 1948.

The declaration was read out by the chief of Jhalawan, Sardar Sanaullah Zehri. It described the ongoing military operation in Balochistan as state terrorism and called for an immediate end to the operation and release all arrested political workers.

It rejected the Sui tribal jirgaââ¬â¢s decision to abolish the Sardari system in the Bugti area and termed the action taken at the behest of the government an interference in tribal affairs and said that tribal matters should be resolved in accordance with customs and traditions.

The declaration said that the jirga recognised the heirs of Nawab Akbar Bugti as legitimate owners of the property of the deceased, adding that it would resist allotment of the property to anyone other than the heirs.

The jirga condemned the tragic incident of Aug 26 in which Nawab Bugti was killed and demanded an investigation into the cause of his death by the International Human Rights Commission to ascertain the factual position.

The declaration rejected the mega development projects, including the Gwadar uplift programme, and said that the Baloch people would not accept the agreements signed by the government with international companies.

The declaration demanded reunification of all divided Baloch lands into one entity.

In his speech, the Khan of Kalat said that the presence of so many sardars in the Baloch national jirga belied the claim of President Pervez Musharraf that 72 tribal chiefs were supporting his policy. He asserted that all Baloch people would abide the decision of the jirga.

Chief of Sarawan Nawab Aslam Raisani said that in accordance with the 1940 Resolution, all nationalities should get their rights, and except currency, foreign affairs, defence and communications all subjects should be transferred to provinces.

He said that after capturing power, President Musharraf had assured to work for promoting harmony, but now the military rulers wanted to resolve issues at gun-point. He said that if Kashmiris fighting for their rights were called freedom fighters, the Baloch should not be dubbed terrorists.

Sardar Sanaullah Zehri said that the Baloch people were unfortunate that despite having abundant resources, long coasts and a rich culture, they were being oppressed by outsiders who had occupied their land. The use of gun, he said, could suppress them for some time but they would again rise for their rights.

Chief of BNP (Mengal) Sardar Akhtar Mengal said that the Khan of Kalat had gathered all the Baloch at a time when the attention of international and regional powers was focused on Balochistan.

Sardar Mengal said that the Baloch people would live with honour, dignity and equal rights and with complete control over their resources. Otherwise, he warned, they would be free to take a decision to protect their sovereign status.

Chief of Magsi tribe Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi said that had the grand jirga been convened when security forces attacked Nawab Bugti, and not after his death, the situation would have been different today. He said that some forces were trying to exploit the matter politically.

He also said that no-one must forget that ââ¬Åwe had taken oath as governors, chief ministers and ministers on the Constitution that we are now opposingââ¬Â.

He called for abiding by the decision of the jirga. Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani, Dr Hakim Lehri, chief of Balochistan National Congress, Sardar Asif Mengal, Sardarzada Jehanzeb, Mir Amanullah Zarakzai, Sardar Nadir Badini, Sardar Rahimdad Lango, BSO chairman Mohinuddin Baloch, Yousuf Masti Khan, Sardar Balkhsher Mazari, Amanullah Kanrani of the JWP, Mir Taj Muhammad Jamali, Sardar Aslam Bizenjo, Baloch Students Organisation chairman Bashirzeb Baloch and Sardar Sher Jamaldini also addressed the Jirga.

Oh how times change

Now this fire has consumed the entire country....

When I was living in Saudi Arabia, all my Baloch friends in ARAMCO were pro-Pakistan.

This Baloch separatist thing is a such a joke.

In Pakistan, everyone is united through Islam. So there is no excuse for separatist ideology.

Haha, Bangladesh got its independence because it is not geographically connected to Pakistan. lol.

Haha, Balochistan is not Bangladesh.

But for those Bangladeshis. I have no sympathy for their plight. Even an animal would have showed more loyalty to Islamic unity than them.

I wish well for Bangladesh, but don't expect me to apologize for what Pakistan did in 1971.

Had they stayed with Pakistan, then maybe I would have apologized. They betrayed Islamic unity, thus no sympathy for them.
