F-16’s are still better then majority of IAF fleet. Only 4.5 gen aircraft IAF has rn is Rafale. Any new purchase will take years or in Indias case at least a decade. Any upgrades will take years.
As long as india is flying mirage 2000, mig 21, Su 30 mki, mig 29 and jaguar, F-16’s will have a role in PAF.

You guys are talking about retiring F-16’s or saying we have no use for them while we’re desperately tryna mount bvr’s on mirages and still flying F-7’s.

F-16’s are here to stay and will have an important role in Pakistan’s air defence for a long time.

US military equipment performed well in Afghanistan but Afghanistans terrain, geography and history didn’t cooperate.

As far as F-16’s go, they’ve proved them self in Zarb e Azb and other operations against terrorists. Their literally the best counter terrorism platform we have. As far as I know, J-10CE and JF-17 don’t have anything in comparison to DB-110 yet.

I had to look this name up and realize he flew a Mig-21 when he was shot down (suspiciously by a F16). But did you know that Mig-21 is very old? Like Vietnam-war old? And did you know US made a big deal after Indian media showed some metal crap that was probably from a F16-fired missile instead of one from a JF-17 like Pak claimed? That means F16s are NOT ALLOWED to engage IAF. Pakistan knew it, the Indians knew it, and of course the Americans knew it. Huh? The f16 Pakistan has aren't allowed to engage IAF? Says who? Indian media? The US themselves said that isn't the case. Why else did they sell the F16 with AIM120 C5 AMRAAMs? I mean come on, it was the F16 that shot down the Mig21 BISON and SU30MKI. Pakistan has even said it will use ALL its available weaponry to defend itself.

I think Americans are fooling Indians when they claim they are not to be used against India as they want Indians to buy US made weapons.
They know better that F-16s are not the most effective weapons against taliban given their advanced air to air capabilities.
They would've given Apaches or A-10s if that was the case.
All their cries and threats against Pakistan for use against India is designed to fool India who are easy to be fooled.
