Pakistan's next generation national warships: Jinnah Class Frigates

Sir this so called fanboy is not wrong. India already has Destroyers and Frigates which can carry such missiles in large numbers and if you don't know it's their declared goal to have a Brahmos with at least 800 KM range missile and they are working on even more long range version of Brahmos also working on sub sonic Nirbhay. So this so called fanboy is talking about a thing which India already possesses they just need to increase the range of their missile which they would soon.
BrahMos has a range of 400 km.
Getting that closer to our coast means running gauntlet of not just the surface based Harbah's and C-802's. which are in service now, but the missles from coastal vessels like Azmats and Jalats along with air power.
To wit an Indian task force will have to sail for several hundred KM in range of multiple layers of AA/AD assets before they can even think of engaging their targets and for geography is is such that long before they get into range of **our** assets their purpative targets will be obvious....

Like @kursed said, fanboys. They never consider what the enemy will do, just what they can do. This was what led 27 Feb.

Yes I know Brahmos for now has a range of 400 KM. But they are already working on a 1000 KM range Brahmos and DRDO in recent years have picked up pace and will soon test that missile. Not only that they are even working on hyper sonic Brahmos and after they have achieved 1000 KM Brahmos they plan to go for even more long range version. They already have the ships to carry and fire those missiles they are just working on increasing range which they would do it soon.

Range of our Babur missile has already touched 900km benchmark.
Our new Supersonic cruise Missile will also be tested soon ( according to credible members like @Tipu7 )
Now we should just pray that may SMAsh come with 500km range.

As for B2, we will counter it by Hypersonic Ballistic Missile (P282+ probably similar to Chinese DF 17) as hinted by previous Naval cheif.

We have other options also like our current inventory of Ballistic Missiles.

And at last, i will say that range of Indian missiles should not be our concern because they can do the same damage to Pakistan with 400km range Brahmose as with 1000km range B2 given that our country's width is small.

The range of their missile is a concern because they if they manage to come up with 1000 KM range Brahmos which they can fire from ships then they can hit our cities from waters of Goa and even further south as they keep increasing the range.

Only part fanboy is wrong is right now range of Brahmos. But longer versions are already in the works and in fact most probably would come very soon.

and 400km is max range, they will have to get closer than that for the missile to actually hit anything significant before being intercepted.

Yes.
Hint: It will be faster than Brahmos.

Yes, these are two different programs, the supersonic cruise missile has met certain milestones and will be revealed to the world in the not to distant future.

The name of missile onboard Type-54AP has not be revealed yet. But the missile is super sonic, and will be standardized in upcoming warships.

Buy more Type 54 A if this is the Jinah class. Jinah class should have at least 32 VLS. Out of those 32, 16 should be for Air Defence role and 16 for carrying and firing long range land attack cruise missiles. Like 1500 KM range.

I think that IN will add vl-srsam to destroyers and frigates once they will finish testing

The designed tonnage of Jinnah Class FFG is 3000 Tons.(it cannot be increased now)
It will not be increased in the present platform which are going to be built in KSEW.
The weapon & sensors systems are not yet decided.
A 16 cell VLS is being installed. The magazine size can be increased.

We will have 4+4+4+4+2 (FFGs & OPVs) by 2035.
Probably after this class, PN may attempt a 5000 tons class vessel.

It cannot be understated how strong the naval component of Pakistan’s defense has become. Especially from a A2/AD perspective its extends to that range and will continue to expand beyond - India will have to commit massive resources to stop Pakistan’s sea lines
What I find interesting is that most of the attention, at least publicly (here) only restricted at surface fleet / tonnage, while real work is all done elsewhere.

Exactly! The surface fleet is generally focused on supporting SLOC operations and a lot more in peacetime in terms of freedom of navigation and diplomacy.
There was another wave many years of proponents of ditching the heavy vessels and sticking to FACs or corvettes.

At the same time, I do trust the silent service to come through and do their job well. Keeping my fingers crossed. =)
