Lmao 17% is standard and has been since years go and search it on google and this is average rate across the globe if I am not wrong. UK has 20% standard VAT(GST in Pakistan).

And this 17% is not on everything it is on certain imports things like food have around 10% and medicine have 0%.

Ps: problems isn't the taxation problem is traders who don't pay the GST to govt which they do take from consumers.

Funny thing is slip shows no GST for bread let alone 17% there isn't mention of rate or price.

712 was total and 13.26 is sales tax (GST) ab bahi ya to me andha hu ya apki "Ryaazi" patwario wali he.

You are right here that PTI should impose 17%GST on luxury items.
On double roti/roti-like things for daily consumption are not luxury items.
On the other hand, if a mother is capable to feed her baby then the 'baby milk' is a luxury item and that should be taxed more to promote the natural way of feeding the baby. The 'mother's milk' is the basic human right of the baby apart if there is some medical issue. Nature/Medical Science promotes the mother's milk.
