We are in a hotel right next the pyramides. The traffic in cairo is crazy but here all is silent.

We visited them today and since we came very early we were alone.

Being alone in there was amazing. We visited also two tombs of nobles and i just came back from a highspeed jeep tour in the desert.

Tomorrow we visit Saqqara and tze step pyramide there. I'm hyped. So far its great.

I also feel the historial connection. Greeks and Egyptians share alot history and most of that is positive.

200 Egyptian pounds to investigate the entire area, thats like 20$ and 400 EGP to enter. I must admit i was really stunned about the aura of the place.

It is stunning. Similarly when you get up to parthenon.

This brings back some memories. Cairo is so loud, so much energy.

We saw much already. We went to Amarna and visited much places build by Akenaten and Nefertiti. Yesterday Saqqara and today Meidum and Hawara.

There is only one thing bothering me. The egyptians begging for tips. There are many scammers but we have a good guide who keeps them away.

The problem i see is, you go into a monument ..there is always a guy who wants to do something for you...like shining with flashlight at a interesting spot. Then wants money. They mostly do this when our guide is not nearby and obviously dont want that he sees it

Its annoying. I dont give tipps for shining with a flashlight.

Nice pictures. Do share more.

I assume there was no quarantine requirement upon arrival.

It's the same in Rome and Europe too.. plenty of con artist charging u 20-30 euro just for a bird feed and they just shove it to you in a scheming way.

Desperate folks need money to feed kids etc.

The more desperate you are, the less shame you will have.
Stop commenting while drunk.
Shear,?

It's the damned 'autocorrect' feature, been there, done that...

Where can you find a good guide like yours ? Through the hotel or online? I've watched a lot of vlogs and the most annoying part was how some people force you for tips in Egypt. Its so sad that a small group of people can harm the reputation of a beautiful country. I plan to visit Egypt in the near future too.

It's mesmerizing, you feel connected to history just by looking at those pyramids through pics.
