All things being equal, it is far more probable that this upper caste cabal simply feels it is above the law. Their pathetic excuse for the accused of some "politicization" of the case is an excuse that Pakistanis have heard before.

This is the reason why Brahmins support Congress and BSP while Thakurs Support BJP.

There were the protests in the 1990s against the Mandal Commission. The commission brought to light the non-representation of Dalits and other lower castes in educational institutes. The Brahmin and other upper caste students protested violently.

Mandal commission was about reservations for other OBCs. Nothing to do with Dalits.
