You are right, it is not just about Godi media, it is more about Godi nation...

It is not possible that you have stupid media...and a not so stupid nation, considering that media is a 'reflection' of the country, the people and the society.

We do have a stupid nation next to us on east.

I honestly don't like Ravish Kumar either. Although he's fighting on behalf of the leftist team (my side), there is something about him that I find off-putting. Maybe he's duplicitous as many Indian journalists are, and is really batting for both sides.

Same way I don't like Vinod Dua or Shekhar Gupta (although their views are closer to leftist Indians).

I will not say anything against them but I'd prefer a journo who has the courage of their convictions, and calls a spade a spade. These TV journos of India have a secret agenda which I don't like.

Haven't heard much of Vinod Dua, but have seen few episodes of Shekhar Gupta's 'Cutting the Clutter'...and some of them were good...but many of the vibes coming were 'politically correct' and with some duplicity and double standards...in some shows he started to look like Modi leaning and anti Congress...

The thing is most of them can be hired through a right deal...'I'll give you an offer which you can't resist'...more likely scenario.

See, all Indians have a baggage to carry because of the oppression going on in Kashmir.

India since 1947 has been grabbing a lot of land including in Hyderabad, North-East, Sikkim, Goa. To defend India really means you will have to defend that land-grabbing.

I am sure if you were Indian citizen you'd defend this land-grabbing as well. There's something we can't change about our countries of origin.

China has done land-grabbing, USA has done land-grabbing..does that make it right? According to Bismarck and Machiavelli (and our India's Chanakya), it is right. That's what statecraft teaches you,

Yes you are right about Chanakya...theory of power and pelf, how to use deceit and deception as norm, how to wield power on small neighbors...but I think these Arthashastras of Chankaya are not working on nation states, fit for kings and Raja, Maharajas fiefdoms and Kingdoms...here India need to change it drastically, the reason for neighbor states going against India, and the perpetual bad attitude of India towards Pakistan has 'Chanakya' written over it.

As someone has written, India became a colonizing power on the footprints of colonial Britishers after they left the Indian subcontinent...it is like colonizing Britishers passing the buck to India...

Arundhati Roy has written 'Kashmir was never a part of India'...but when you are on land grabbing spree such ethos takes a back seat.
