Pakistan took delivery of the last helicopter AW139M

Pakistan took delivery of the last two Italian manufactured AW139M helicopters ordered from Leonardo. With the delivery of the 12th helicopter, Alouette-III type helicopters, which have served in the Pakistani Air Force for many years, have also retired.

AW139M is used for search and rescue by the Pakistan Air Force and in transport duties. Maximum takeoff weight of twin-engine helicopters is 7 tons, with a capacity of 15 seats. The AW139 can stay in the air for 5 hours and 50 minutes, can serve both civilian and military purposes. Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A series engines are used in the helicopter. In Turkey, the body of the helicopter is manufactured by the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).

Navy and paa still fly the type ? They need it for spares , few still remain at Peshawar for basic heli course per article ??

Compared to older french type performance is impressive

Depends, some units cover other nearby bases, like Peshawar covering Kamra etc

Hopefully, Pak would initiate a JF17 or Milgem like projects to produce the coppers in-house with indigenous inputs!! Procurement of the Turkish ATAKs might pave the way for that...

1 Helicopter per 2,500 Soldier's care

I stated 40 because it is first step towards 200 Helicopters

who picks the most bullsh1t paint scheme in Pakistan military? Be it C-130 fart work, or same 1980s adopted fighter jet paint scheme, or "camo" paint scheme on helicopters!!!!!!! seriously who the **** camo helicopters? The old days are gone when you could confuse enemy with camo since it will be electronically tracked!
I bet the paint work is left for patwaris in military.

medium left helis will not play a important role in any Pak/India war but on western border most certainly
