This is an interesting development and I was waiting for some signs and this is one of them for chances of escalation.
I think India will try to get into a position close to a naval blockade.

I dont know in the history of earth of doing a naval bloackade with 1 destoyer and 1 patrol boat in an area where 1000s of ship pass every day, a well sized fleet is needed. So no need to worry as of now for Pakistan.

Its not a month old news the vessel was spotted in that region on the 10th of this month and its still there.
