₹300 crore hole in Air India pocket as Pakistan air space closes

These Indians lie without shame.

Pakistanis are like dodos. They cant see the truth.
Even with 779 million number. Indian loss is nowhere near 779, its in the order of a few 100 million over a year.

This costs Pakistan much more. Care to counter with numbers and facts or just want to continue on rhetoric?

The loss to Pakistan is minimal. The loss to India however is manifold.

What strategy? India doesn’t have any. Pakistan doesn’t allow India to use its airspace. Looks more like a Pakistani strategy to me.

Don’t get ahead of yourself. This loss is colossal to India. Both in terms of time and money. Downplaying it won’t earn you any brownie points.

Well .Considering current status ,India can go like this for years without any big issue.
Let it be like that.
No problem.

So not just air-india but all other flights operator irrespective of nation of origin are blocked & all flights to India and beyond to SEA are also blocked.? OK.
Thats should not be problem, overtime the extra cost incurred will become new "normal" cost.
But why is pakistani air still closed ?
What if Pakistan allows other carriers to use its airspace, but denies all Indian carriers? How will you compete with the fares of other international airlines?

I think that you, and many others, are evaluating the whole thing with respect to the economic implications. There lies the error. This action of closing air space has been taken under compulsions of defense and security of Pakistan and therefore should primarily be analyzed in that perspective. Economic considerations are secondary.

First you mentioned a number over 1billion USD and now you switch to 779 when someone presented the facts. Care to explain why you're so retarded? We can counter with numbers and facts but apparently, it seems like Indians make facts out of their dirty asses just like you made that imaginary number.

Why should we stop?. This strategy makes sense for India. We can deny Pakistan approximately a Billion dollar in overflight fees while costing us ~100 Million dollars. Also taking into account India's economic resilience, looks like a good strategy.

Pakistan's PIA + Airspace revenue loss in same period is around 17 million while only Air India's loss in same period is 3 times of it. Add up loss of airspace revenues of India, losses of other Indian airlines and increased cost of air cargoes . Anyone, not wearing Safroon glasses can figure out who looses more. But anyway, Clear Airspace means we will be free to fire our SAM is bonus for us, IAF pilots will wear triple pamper while flying close to Pakistan.

You mean that their @$$es are some sort of advanced computing machines?

Typical gangu scammer.

A relatively small portion of the $779 million comes from India and India's meager contribution has no impact on Pakistan. Worry about the losses of Indian airlines. Jet Airways has already gone bankrupt and I suspect more will follow adding to more job losses.

Tell them also that the IAF pilots, deputed for the air space of KPK, must be provided with metallic pampers. Abhinandan and AJK was a different case.

You do realize that pakistan is not getting any overflight charges. Something from which Pakistan earned ~1.5 Billion dollar last year. Looks like Pakistan fell into the tap of Indian economic attrition.
Do you realized that in less then one month (28 days) India losses around USD 42,815,600 (forty-two million eight hundred fifteen thousand six hundred), so India suffer more then what Pakistan lost. In two months India suffer a lost of around 1billion so in one year India losses will be 6 Billion USD. Four times more then Pakistan and only for India means Pakistan will loss only certain amount not full.

Pakistan will lose more economically because of this.

But more importantly, why is the Pakistani air space still closed ? It's been a long time since those incidents. Most people here are not even talking about it anymore. Is there still a fear in Pakistan that Modi will do something ?

Obviously, the threat and danger of attack is very much there; since, at diplomatic level, no surety, against such an adventure, is there.

Since, India is in an aggressive posture; so it doesn't need any guarantee. It is sure that Pakistan will never initiate an attack and will only retaliate, if attacked.

This difference of posture, automatically, leads to different approaches by India and Pakistan.

Yes you may be right.

I take the Pakistan policy in a totally different light. Pakistan is sending a message to the global powers that world has become too interdependent and therefore such unilateral aggressive actions by one state against other may entail many complications and should be controlled.

Agree. This is a message for those who were behind the scene patting India on the back, only to panic the next day when Pakistan strikes back.

American carrier United has temporarily suspended its Delhi-Newark flight and is monitoring the situation.
