“I was going home after 71 years”: The emotional ‘homecoming’ of an Indian in Pakistan

But Kashmiris are stronger than ever in their will and determination. The same cannot be said for 1.4 billion fools.

The government of India, the representative of 1300 Billion Indians has rejected any and every talks with 220 Million Muslims of Pakistan and their government.

Are you a Kashmiri?

When they decide. I really think you have little chance. Its aladeen news.

Little chance to enjoy the show? I doubt it. I will enjoy it. A lot.

Ah damn, some retarded folk commenting on it as if some ones emotions can be exchanged for hatred. But you sick folk are no different than the folk you want to bomb if that's your excuse for bombing them.

This person had memories and emotions attached to a place, which you can never understand being shallow inside.

Try to be more human, and try and see the good in your enemies, because its a very horrible kind of disease to not be able to see the goodness in your enemies.
We're not saying that you dimwit, we are saying he needs to spread the message to your hatrmongering ilk and the fascist ideologies your ppl spread. We are always hospitable.

Seeing all the negative comments from my compatriots makes my head hangs in shame. No wonder world looks at us with disdain.
A bit of history for everyone who is going all bonkers over an article. His family had to leave their homeland (Mandra) because his village was attacked (Take a guess who attacked). His father was in Indian army and refused to attack Pakistani military back in 1971 because, in his own words, he could not kill his own people. His grandmother never accepted India as her country and always told him stories of Pakistan. There are people who were pushed out of their homes without their consent, this is one that unfortunate family. I remember talking to him when he went back to India after this visit and he was all nostalgic and wanted to get back to his "home" forever.

Pakistan and India need more Rahul Sharmas and less or no Zaid Hamids or Arnab Goswamis.

Mandra, sadaa grahi, he is most welcome to come back home.

I have seen this talk from a lot of the older generation, even some younger ones - those with some form of connect - Punjabi and Sindhi people. Rest of India doesn't quite get it, but to each his own. Of course it is replicated in case of Bengalis from erstwhile East Pak also who settled in Delhi. But that's about it.

that makes geographical sense.

anyhow i want to ask you something Jacky boy

Paranoid? Nah. Just amused at the gung-ho keyboard warriors. But in all fairness, they exist on both sides.

We can happily debate whose numbers are more depressing but why amuse ourselves with reality.

None of the comments mentioned walking to Delhi kissing Zaid Hamid on the mouth Iranian style.

It's the antagonist mindset of perceiving someone as your eternal enemy. Perhaps it gives a fillip to fragile egos and insecurities.

And that is a thought much more famous in India than Pakistan.

No wonder you guys are not very happy. Its like God is your boogeyman. Bad deal if you ask me

@Joe Shearer ,
please read through this interesting thread when you have time.

I am asking you about your opinions on how this issue can be resolved,
not about what I should (or shouldn't) do

I did and I feel sorry for reasonable Pakistanis. You have to face not only the obvious Moustache Petes among your people, but also the half-educated, half-trained keyboard warriors and the third, most obnoxious bunch, the wanna-be wits.
