I am not a hindu, so I dont care what they do
I am a Muslim, and it pains me to see Muslims shooting themselves in the foot

Why is this missing from our text books?

Because it doesn't fit well in national narrative.

Quite interesting. I once read a book about Allama Mashriqi who founded the Khaksar Movement.

The Khaksar movement was an anti-British movement centered in Punjab, mainly Muslim but which represented members from all religions. It’s members were routinely jailed and prevented from protesting.

Members wore khaki shirt, pants, an Arab headress or turban, and carried a shovel. They did this to show that they are all sons of the soil.

Though they had disagreements with the Muslim league, Allama Mashriqi disbanded his movement in 1947 saying that independence has been achieved and for its members to join Pakistani politics.

Much propaganda was made by the British to say that Allama Mashriqi attempted to attack Quaid e Azam, which he denied. Wasn’t the first time Khaksar members were jailed for actions which they may not have done.

I know that the movie Jinnah has a scene where Khaksars attack Quaid on the basis of him giving women rights, but this is inconsistent as the Khaksars were not a radical Muslim group but a pan-religious social movement.

nope, it was a Muslim
trying to break India apart? well he was free to stay in India, and enjoy the love India would give them
but apparently the entire movement came to Pakistan instead, hypocrisy
