What's new

Bosnia-Herzegovina

The biggest advantage for Bosnia is the nature. A lot of free land. A lot of river and lakes. The renewable water is somehow one of the most important resource and a lot of countries are dealing or will have to deal with this issue

The economy is going better. The exports is higher by 17% compare to previous year. There is more tourists and lot of indicator are in green.

As I mentioned earlier since several years there is more investments and interest from the middle east. But there is still gap between Bosnia and Pakistan and all this part of the world. Unfortunately until now we do not have direct flight connection between Sarajevo and Islamabad. This could help a lot between the connection of two nations.

Overall situation is mych better than 20 wears ago

Regarding the food. I think you are talking about this

But our traditional food is this. It's calles Cevapi or cevapcici

I have eaten cevapcici.

Connectivity remains a major hurdle.

LOL...........still reading and responding, BS is what you understand, logic is beyond you, you pinhead

Take this mantra of yours to someone who actually gives a damn about your pathetic argument. Don't have time for your BS. Re-read my posts and reasoning behind it. If you have comprehension problem i suggest to take some English comprehension courses.

I understand your argument about NS and goons like him and i agree to it, as a person he deserves to be in Jail rather than having protocol; forget about honorable protocol. But my argument was about a representative of Pakistan visiting a friendly country.

Indeed

It looks similar. But there if lot of influence on our food. We have been under Ottomans during centuries so there is lot of similar stuff or with the strong roof from the east. It's normal

On the pakistani subforum economy I have posted one message. I have asked if someone could mention some pakistani general consumption goods I could find and try in Europe.

This before I will visit Pakistan. Cause I think the food is always better in the country itself thant abroad :-)

Your always welcome brother...

Why are people fighting on this thread? Relax everyone. Enjoy pictures of Bosnia.

Cevapi + Onions + Kajmak= :smitten:

Indeed but we succeed to "transfer" some HJ8 during the full blocus on us. So where is the real wish there will be also the way. :-)

So we should be able to have better export/import of goods and cooperation during this "normal time" where we do not have any impeachment.

Beautiful country Bosniak!! what sort of facilities are on offer for a visitor? anything one should avoid? Thanks in advance

Hello,

It depends what are you looking for. Do you prefer more to see cities or more landscape and nature? Lately there is a nice development in touristic sector. This means also improvement in accomodations (hotels, hostel ect...)

The "advantage" of such small country that you can visit and see many different places in short period of time

The capital Sarajavo is located only 30min away from montains Igman, Bjelasnica, Jahorina, Trebevic. So you can enjoy nature during the day and city night life in the evening.

Normally you should not have any trouble with the local people. They are honest and happy to see some tourists.

MAGLIC MONTAIN - highest one

NERETVA RIVER - good for rafting

KUPRES - Village with nice landscape

One thing which can be interesting is "Splavaranje"
It can be done on DRINA River. You have to go to the city of Gorazde or Ustikolina. It's one hour drive from the capital.

Descending the river on this. Good sensations.

We have also one small town at the Adriatic see. NEUM. But to be honest there is nothing to see their. Only hotels and appartments. From my point of view not a lot of interest for someone comming from US.

There is also some lakes. RAMA Lakes is maybe the most amazing one

I would love to see the smaller towns and meet the real Bosnians. Cities tend to be the same crowded mess the world over. Back in my younger days the cold war was on and most of eastern Europe was "off-limits, or limited access". So that's where my interests lie now. Nature, landscapes and smaller towns. In most countries I have visited, the smaller towns is where you have a better chance of connecting with people.
Similarly, I would encourage the tourist visiting the US to bypass the "tourist traps" and visit the several smaller towns that Americans themselves visit for a vacation - The real USA

Clear

I agree with you.
I have never been in US but have friends who did. One of my collegues at works spent 6 months in US as a student. In Colorado and he said it was fantastic. Nature awesome and nice people. So I am sure this is the place someone from Europe should visit and not the city like Las Vegas.

Regarding you wish.

We do not have big city in Bosnia. Sarajevo, the capital is less than 400.000 habitants. But there is lot of tourists during summer period. The city of Mostar is smaller but a lot of tourists as well. The rest of the country is not so full of tourists. Not yet.

I will recommend GORAZDE and it's area. It's only +-1h30 by car from the capital

Over there you have a really nice river DRINA. Clean and you can do rafting, splav, fishing or swim in it

Kind of fish you can find in this river

Not so far from the city of GORAZDE you have also a small complexe of BIJELE VODE. You can rent a bungalow or just go there to relax. There is also a resturant.

But one the specifity of this place is that you go there for hunting. They will provide you equpment and guide and even hunting dog :-). I am not sure if like hunting. But this can be a cool activity. I am not allowed to insert direct link but you can just type BIJELE VODE in google and you find their web site with the rules and prices.

In the are and close to the river you have several nice place where you can take a rest or eat some local product.
One nice place is this one RANCH BRAJLOVIC in the village of Ustikolina

That is some awesome fishing!! I love to hunt also. During deer hunting season, we regularly travel to the Hot Springs Arkansas area. I usually save and share the deer meat with friends and family. It is delicious. :-) You live in a beautiful country!
