Hi

We do not have big cities. Sarajevo is less than 400.000 citiziens but there is lot of things to see. Bosnia preserv a lot of monuments from Ottoman Empire. The majors parts of mosques are with this architecture. Like this one

Ferhadija Banja Luka

Deserve to be visited

From that point of view, the city of Travnik could be interesting.

But the Bosnia is low populated country. There is only 3.5 millions habitants and that means a lot of nature, free space. So it's defintely ideal for familly holidays. This is a perfect place for hiking, rafting or just relaxing in the quite and nice nature. There is lot of montaines, river and lakes

Latelly there is a lot of tourists from the Middle East (UAE, KW, SA ect..) They have just discovered the country and started also to invest. Building hotels, touristic village or entertainment site.
Example

Tarcin Resort

At the end I think you should like it. :-)

I met a lot Bosnians in Switzerland, very nice people.

I have 2 cousins there :-)

Bosniaks have a lot of commun thing with people from Turkey. I have already mentioned mosques aspects but there is also food and some other things. A lot of turkish people have bosniaks rooths like HIdajet Turkoglu for ex.

Turks are the first visitors as tourists in Bosnia. To be honest Turkey stay appart during the conflict and quite distant. We expected much more from Turkey at that time. But I thing TR sas not strong enough 20 years ago. But there is lot of improvement since 5-6 years.

From my point of view Ibrahim Davutoglu had a lot of influence there. I can notify few example

- Bosnia can export 15.000 tons of meals without taxes to Turkey
- Bosnia can export food oil and flour without to Turkey
- Military cooperation and export of some military product to Turkey

This leads to a huge improvement with the trade for both sides.

Also the there is a permanent contact between those two countries and there is an improvement of turkish presence in Bosnia. Below is the building of turkish Ziraat Bank in Sarajevo

There is also some investement in media ect. But it can be far more. Especially with the military cooperation

Well, Turkey took part as NATO member in the following missions:

-Operation Sky Monitor
-Operation Maritime Guard
-Operation Deny Flight
-Operation Sharp Guard
-Implementation Force

-Stabilisation Force in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Within this context, the Turkish Air Force units participated in the Bosnia Herzegovina and Kosovo operations by deploying one of its squadrons at Ghedi Air Base Italy since 1993 and Aviano Air Base since 29 May 2000 in line with the United Nations resolutions and generated 35647.30/10626 hours/sorties without any incident so far and returned to Turkey.

But your right a lot more could have been done, at least to the level of involvement in Kosovo war.

Bosnia looks very beautiful and may be people are also nice, but as a country it lost my respect when our then PM, though now disqualified, went on an official visit and was received by transport minister. I remember during my childhood from our neighborhood, there used to be fundraising for bosnian war. Pakistan's intelligence and military provided help to bosnian muslims during war time. And despite all that our PM was received by a petty minister, not a very warm welcome by a tiny country to a country's PM to whom they owe quite much.

Well to be honest my friend, I will not say all the NATO and UN did in Bosnia is bullshit but 95% of it is. Basically this didn't changed anything for us.

At that very moment we didn't need any support from NATO or whoever. We just needs weapons but we had an embargo on it. We could even not buy it.

However back to present

Last week a big joint venture contract have been signed between the bosnian company Imres Smart and turkish company "Enprode" Yuksel Guler" to build a wind farm and reversible hydroelectric plant. Total invesment 1.6 billion of euros. This is supposed to be the biggest one in South East Europe

The place where is supposed to be

Hello

I have no idea how old are you but sorry to say that your way of thinking is very childlike. How the hell you can say that a "conuntry can lost respect" based on political visit. Are you serious? :undecided:

The present political structure of Bosnia is very complexe but I will not go deeper in that way cause it's not the topic

To be honest I really do not care by whom a politican is received or not. But I have just checked regarding this very specific "case".

Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif visted Bosnia during 3 days. I have just red what is the procedure in such visit.

- bosnian minister is waiting the visitor at the airport / checked
- bosnian PM is waiting the visitor in front bosnian parlament /cheked
- after could be the visitor will met one of 3 of our president (yes we have 3 president) /checked

All this have been done for Pakistan's PM Nawaz Sharif. This is the procedure for all visitors/guests
On top of that Pakistan's PM Nawaz Sharif met as well the representatives from both chamber and the highest religious representative.

And last thing regarding this topic. Angela Merkel visit. As you can see exactly the same way of doing.
I took her as an example cause she is one of the most important politician world wide.

But it could be you based your opinion on wrong information you get from pakistan media or cause it's different in PK?

And regarding the help. It's very kind

But in my country in the case we gave something or provide help to someone we are just saying "halal" and we are never remembering this to that very specific person. In the case you will remember the guys decades after....well better don't do anything. I think you see what I mean

Beautiful country. Will definitely visit this or next year. Have some Bosnian friends here in Sweden who drive down to Bosnia in the summers. Will tag along :D
