It seems to be inspired from Tesla.

Will buy a car in 2019 April. Choice is between, Breeza or Nexon or WR-V(Honda) or Rush(5seater if it comes).

I think by that time Nexon would have been proved as a failure or success!
Nexon is a success. WR-V is an excellent car - it doesn't have Android Auto/Apple Car Play though.
S-Cross is a better car than the Brezza - all 4 disc brakes as opposed to 2 in the Brezza and your car is services at the much better and nicer Nexa service centers. I would wait for at least one more generation of Tata cars to come through before picking up a Tata product.

Just not about bhp, Brezza sports same engine that's in swift. Plus it's peak torque comes at high rpm. Means if you are on an inclination then you cannot brake and then accelerate from standstill. You need to be between mid and high revs for turbo to keep running to make an incline.

Compare this to Ecosport which pulls like a bolero, more torque generation at lower rpm. Means you can climb easily.

Also Brezza isn't well built. I mean outer sheet, not the frame. Don't know about nexon but best build cars I have seen in India are from Volkswagen group.
Hi @boxer_B
I guess some of your points are indeed correct. For instance-
1) Yes the robustness of the sheet metal doesnt look as strong as eco sport of course but it is lighter by more than 100 kgs. Which means it can accelerate faster than eco. It is also "wider" than eco, which means 3 can comfortably sit in the rear.
2) The main pulling power in brezza starts coming in at around 1700+RPM. Whereas in eco or nexon it starts as low as 1500 or even lesser. The turbo lag is kinda apparent--yes!
3) However I dont agree with incline thing, because in my personal experience with a full load of 5 passengers it could effectively climb up moderate inclines without even touching the throttle i.e it'd climb up the incline by just releasing the clutch. This might change though if the incline is very steep. But havent had the opportunity to really take it out to hills and all.
Also finally, I love driving it on highways and I feel on highways, it clearly outshines both eco and nexon.-- Take a test drive man!

Mind blowing design but surely steal from someone else design or copy paste others. India can't design such beauty .
Hi @monitor
I dont think it is wise to comment on the capabilities of a multibillion dollar company that has net worth roughly equal to half the economy of bangladesh. On a very serious note, do visit their research facilities in Pune(India) and UK.

Thats correct, if one can shell out 2-3 lakhs more then S-cross does make a much better proposition than brezza. However if you have a budget of 10L(as was mine). Then Brezza is the only option. However I feel, Nexon and TATA's new generation of cars have improved to the level where they're now being considered as "desirable" by a lot of buyers.

Go to youtube, search for autocar india channel and watch the tata e-vision video there. And you meant to say that chinese cant design this beauty and steal designs from others. :) Meanwhile check this, tata motors 45X

Tata eVision sedan concept: Teaser video & fresh images

Posted on by CarToq Editor

The Geneva Motor Show always brings the best out of Tata Motors and 2018 was no different. The Indian car and truck giant unveiled the eVision sedan concept at Geneva, a preview of what its electric future would look like. Here are fresh images and even a video teaser of the hot, new Tata.

The eVision, as its name suggests, is an electric vehicle concept that could go into production sometime in future. While some say that it could be as early as late next year, others are saying that it won’t be until 2022 when we see something based on the eVision roll onto Indian roads. The eVision uses the Omega platform derived from Land Rover, which also underpins the H5X SUV. This platform has been modular and scalable to accommodate a wide range of electric cars in future.

While Tata is tightipped about the eVision’s mechanicals, er electricals, the car is said to pack enough punch to hit a top speed of 200 Kph, with the nought to 100 sprint coming up in just 7 seconds. Well, that’s BMW 3-Series territory, and a place where no Tata car has ever been before, and for just this, the eVision has our full attention.

The new electric sedan concept uses Tata Motors’ Impact 2.0 design philosophy, and it looks ravishing to say the least. Think, Indian Tesla. Well, that’s how sharp the car looks, and if Tata manages to put this into production as is, it’ll probably be the classiest design that’s come out of Tata Motors, ever! On the outside, you’ll notice that the eVision looks like the next logical design step from the Tigor, and that’s a good thing. Like the Tigor, this car even gets a conventional boot lid.

Among other things, the eVision sedan has a flat floor, and acres of space. The all-glass panoramic sunroof adds to the roomy feel. The interiors are a mix of leather and wood, and Tata’s designers have keep it minimal. Very classy. The concept packs in quite a punch when it comes to technology.

Tata’s loaded the car with some interesting features, many of which have never been seen in an Indian car. We’re impressed. Here’s a quick run through of what the eVision packs in, in Tata’s own words.

    • Predictive energy management systems based on live traffic and routes (Stuff that makes sure your battery doesn’t run out.)
    • Connected technologies such as cloud computing, analytics, geo-spatial mapping and increased human-machine interface. (You car will speak directly to the manufacturer/service center)
    • Capable of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features. (Read, self-driving capabilities)
    • Prognostics controller for forecasting of service requirements leading to life cycle management of battery packs, which will be extendable to full vehicle. (The car will look after itself)
    • Comes with both slow charging (AC) / fast charging (DC) options (Well, almost every electric car has this!)

Love it :smitten:

I picked up the S-cross for the same price as the brezza - have they increased the prices recently? I picked up the 1.3 Zeta and paid a some accessory charge to install the auto-dimming mirror.

@Jackdaws
Actually, we wanted SUV'ish type car, so tbh, finally we had to decide between eco and brezza(we got it through CSD and nexon wasnt available then)-- and it was a tough decision!. Thats the reason why S-cross never figured in our discussions. And to be quite honest, S-cross will cross 10L mark with all the bells and whistles, am I right?

Hmm, yes - with taxes, it would. Sticker price for 1.3 Zeta with all the bells and whistles in Bombay is 9.99 - the only difference between the Alpha and the Zeta is automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and leatherette seat covers. Brezza is a great car too - I hope you enjoy it. The Ecosport is too small from the inside - although they have done a stellar job with the looks.
