Could you elaborate on what you mean by 2 disasters?

What's new in this? :o::o:
Pakistan has always dealt with Pentagon and felt more comfortable than dealing with double faced diplomats of white house... Mattis where were you all this time? Perhaps fishing dead fish in a dirty pond?
Anyways if you are intending any threat...then you don't if you have us by one ball, we have you by two balls. Because we are not alone and not dependent on you.

And finally the cat is out of the bag. But there is much more to this game.

Pentagon puts countering China, Russia at center of US defense strategy

WASHINGTON: The US military has put countering China and Russia at the heart of a new national defense strategy unveiled on Friday, the latest sign of shifting American priorities after more than a decade and a half of focusing on the fight against militants.

The strategy document, the first of its kind since at least 2014, sets priorities for the US Defense Department that are expected to be reflected in future defense spending requests. The Pentagon released an unclassified, 11-page version of the document on Friday.

The so-called “National Defense Strategy” represents the latest sign of hardening resolve by President Donald Trump’s administration to address challenges from Russia and China, despite Trump’s calls for improved ties with Moscow and Beijing.

“We face growing threats from revisionist powers as different as China and Russia, nations that seek to create a world consistent with their authoritarian models,” Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said in a speech presenting the document.

Elbridge Colby, deputy assistant secretary of defense for strategy and force development, said at a briefing with reporters that Russia was far more brazen than China in its use of military power.

Russia annexed Ukraine’s Crimean peninsula in 2014 and intervened militarily in Syria to support its ally, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Still, Moscow was limited by its economic resources, Colby said.

China, on the other hand, was described as economically and militarily ascendant by the document. It has embarked on far-reaching military modernization that Colby said was in “deep contravention to our interests.”

“This strategy really represents a fundamental shift to say, look, we have to get back, in a sense, to the basics of the potential for war and this strategy says the focus will be on prioritizing preparedness for war, in particular major power war,” he added.

The document also listed North Korea among the Pentagon’s top priorities, citing the need to focus U.S. missile defenses against the threat from Pyongyang, which beyond its nuclear weapons has also amassed an arsenal of biological, chemical, and conventional arms.

It said that while state actors would have to be countered, non-state actors like militants would continue to pose a threat.

The document said that international alliances would be critical for the U.S. military, by far the world’s best-resourced. But it also stressed a need for burden-sharing, an apparent nod to Trump’s public criticism of allies who he says unfairly take advantage of U.S. security guarantees.

Mattis said that the U.S. military’s competitive edge has eroded “in every domain of warfare” and blamed that partly on spending caps and congressional budget dysfunction.

“As hard as the last 16 years of war have been, no enemy in the field has done more to harm the readiness of the U.S. military than the combined impact” of the caps and short-term funding.

In sheer spending terms, the United States’ military outlay per year is still far more than China and Russia, the rivals cited by Mattis. The United States is spending $587.8 billion per year on its military, China $161.7 billion and Russia $44.6 billion

This is really getting funny day by day...To deal with US pressure, honestly Pakistan even do not need any Russia or China...As long as US has any intrest in South Asia, US need Pakistan more than other way around....Although in PDF, there are lot of noise about India and US partnership, US do not have that much of leverage on India as it has with Pakistan...Think about it, which country, except Pakistan, where its citizen are so anti US, still then it allows US to use its military base, allows to drone its own citizens and above all, allows US spies to operate within its boundary with so much freedom expect Pakistan....Even a small nation like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka did not allow US presence to such an extent Pakistan provides access o US...

So in US Pakistan relation, it is Pakistan who has always upper hand in relationship due to the flexibility it has provided to US....As long as US would like to have a foot hold in South Asia, Pakistan will be one and only gateway for US...So forget about noise made by US military, US depends much more to Pakistan than it was before...It is unfortunate that Pakistan stakeholders do not know, how to bargain a fair deal when dealing with US....Rather being defensive, Pakistan should negotiate well and get better deal from US...

i think both china and russia can inflict heavy damage on usa in case of war.america still feels that they are super power.they failed to stop china in south china sea, they can't do much about north korea and they are begging for a safe exit in afghanistan.i think only in usa they consider themselves world power.world moves on.now china and russia both have deadly missiles new fighter jets and new submarines, systems like thaad are already created.there is nothing pentagon can do.these americans are miserable.

what they mean is either accept what US diplomats are saying regarding creating chaos (bring US democracy) in Iran and North Korea or get ready to face unilateral US military action (war on those two countries). An warning to Russia and China to not challenge US bullying.
