Wikileaks: no bloodshed inside Tiananmen Square, cables claim

Yes, no sane govt can opt for killing its own citizens, but the method of suppressing the rioters could have been different. But rolling over tanks to curb some unarmed protesters isn't the right thing to do.

The Tank Man wasn't rolled over. Nobody was rolled over by tanks. The deaths resulted from clashes with riot police, who tried to quell the riots. In fact some students held back other students trying to attack the soldiers.

22 years after the 1989 incident, the same government developed China's economy, significantly improved the life quality of over 1 billion people.
look at what the "democratic" new delhi did for its own people? they systematically failed them all.

when your life exptancy is about 10 years less than Chinese, I call it bloodshed against all indians. it is a crime committed by the Singh regime and Singh should be charged for doing that

Alright, let's not bring India into this thread. However, many people don't understand that this wasn't a massacre. Many people died simply due to riots and the police's efforts to maintain peace. What would have other countries done if rioters destroyed property and attacked police? Even Canada declared martial law in Quebec after days of riots by separatists.

China did not have a riot police force at the time, and military was used for that role instead.

Witnesses reported them bearing anti riot equipment, so that may have constituted the role.
