@Chute Since some coward merely locked that thread, instead of correcting the title or deleting the whole damn thing, this point you made merits a reply:

"Actually you and @VCheng should look into CCP factionalism history. There was a brutal internal power struggle at times regarding "proper" left wing vs "right wing" revisionists/class enemies (latter accused by the former) and lot of folks caught in between.

It is very different stuff in the end when we use a more western convention here....in applying social conservatism + nationalism to define the Right wing on our shores....as in China these exist under one (forcibly) monolith political system that has its nominal left wing (Marxist-Maoist) legacy. i.e social conservative + nationalist thats also under the CCP ambit (largely by realpolitik way) which doesn't have equivalence anywhere in Western world."

Any study of CCP factionalism comes only after one is able to appreciate the delicious irony of a Western philosophy postulated by Karl Marx taken by a bunch of rebels and imposed on a 5000 year old culture to try to perpetuate a totalitarian regime on a xenophobic society for just the past 75 years. :D

That experiment is bound to fail.

I wonder how long before people blame him for being a Western agent who imposed a foreign ideology like communism upon China? :D
CCP is communist in name only... money is their god which is anti-thesis to the core belief of a true communist.
