U.S. drone shot down in Pakistan

A U.S. drone may have crashed on Saturday in North Waziristan, not far from the Afghan border, Pakistan intelligence officials said, and Taliban militants said they had shot it down.

Taliban militants led by Hafiz Gul Bahadur said they had collected wreckage of the destroyed drone and would provide its pictures to the media on Sunday.

Pakistani security officials, however, said they did not know what caused the drone to crash.

"A drone aircraft was seen going down in Machikhel and flames were seen," a Pakistani intelligence official said.

"We don't know what caused it to go down. We are investigating."

Another official said the drone had gone down in an area controlled by militants, about 30 km (20 miles) from the Afghan border.

"The local Taliban have the wreckage," he said.

The drone campaign has angered Pakistanis, who say it is a violation of sovereignty and causes many civilian casualties. The United States says the strikes are very accurate and the number of civilian deaths is minimal.

how would this be a good chance?
do u know which drone it was? and what would u copy? how ?
if refrense of copying it is towards chiina,,,then lay calm,,china has progreesse way ahead and these are useless items for them.,,, they have masrtered all the basic techs and can make one better suoted to their needs,,
just its aerican crashed dronedoesnt makes it any siperior,,

It can be a reaper drone, if it is not totally destroyed it can be copied also, and china can atleast help us copying it even if they don't want it.

Begharat PA is not doing it, but the Taliban are. WOW..

Very unlikely that the Talibunnies got the chance to shoot it down. Please remember that these lot will claim anything that shows them in a superior combat light.

First of all, one has to see at what altitudes the drones operate. To detect and quell them means that one has to be powerful surveillance and radar systems as drones have very small radar signatures. The reason why they're so successful in taking out the Talibunnies is because they cannot be seen and by the time they hear a missile speeding up towards them, it is too late.

Most probably the drone that crashed partly malfunctioned. It happens now and then. Last week, a drone in our Navy crashed due to unknown reasons.

Unbelievable they shot down world's advanced US drones. US Media will play sound and drum to blame Pakistan Army or anyone for giving MANPADS or something technology to power Talibans.

Now we have to make laugh at Pakistan Army which can't shot down drones, Talibans can!

"Any object entering into our airspace, including US drones, will be treated as hostile and be shot down," a senior unnamed Pakistani military (Dec 2011)...

Well, if the Taliban have enough technology to hack a plane and bring 2 skyscrapers down all the way across the Atlantic while sitting in Afghanistan, then I'm sure they have enough technology to shoot the drones down.

The drones fly very high and do not have to come down during launching of missiles.

Taliban doesn't have the technology to shoot dow aircrafts flying that high.

Pakistan doesn't have the will power. In fact Pakistan is not even claiming that it shot the drone down.

Conclusion: A technical snag crashed the drone.

The US probably use the old friendly fire escuse. They haven't used that escuse for a while.
LOL

The burning of the holy book has been the worst omen for the US forces thus far ... Violent protests , 4 soldiers dead and a drone shot down ! Feel the wrath of the God you zionist scum !

P.S Why cant the US tell with certainty if the drone has been shot down or not ? ... Why always " may have crashed " and " Iran should return if it has " feeble excuses ?

i think u shud read "pakistan" section of any news source to see the "WRATH OF GOD"....

but i think u will come up with the "fact" that god is just helping us develop by giving a tough time....isnt it??...
