Since a few years, Peruvian armed forces are on the process to acquire a new wheeled armored vehicle. Towards the beginning of 2015, Peru was reported as looking to acquire 106 AFVs (Armored Fighting Vehicle) and 105 MBTs (Main Battle Tank) as part of its Army program Firepower. The project is part of the army’s modernization plan. It is also known to be prioritizing a new fleet of IFVs (Infantry Fighting Vehicle), but is undecided on a tracked or wheeled platform.

The Pars III makes it first appearance in May 2017 during the IDEF defense exhibition in Turkey. The PARS III 8x8 has a modular design uses a modular design offering the possibility to configure the vehicle for a full range of missions and in different types of configuration. The PARS III 8X8 can be transported by military transport aircraft as A400, C17 & C5, sea, train or land. In November 2017, the Oman National TV has announced the delivery of first PARS III to the Omani armed forces.

The PARS III 8X8 has a combat weight of 30,000 kg and has standard protection against firing of small arms and artillery shell splinters. The hull of the vehicle can be fitted with additional armor up to the level of protection required by the user thanks to the modular design armor system.

The PARS III has a crew of three including driver, commander and gunner and it can carry 9 infantrymen at the rear of the hull. The PARS III 8x8 can be fitted with a full range of weapon systems including remotely operated turret.

Does anyone know if the Kirpi and Vuran can take 23mm ZU-23-2 hits? I'm going to say definitely not because the vehicle is STANAG 4569 level 3 from my sources online. That is 7.62mm resistant so correct me if I'm wrong.

BZT API 190 ? 970 Blunt AP steel core, with incendiary charge inside windshield cap. Penetration 15 mm RHA at 1000 m range and 30 degree impact angle (from perpendicular), tracer burn time 5 seconds.

So is 15mm enough to penetrate Kirpi or not?

A MRAP is designed against IED and not AP ammunutions.

Why did Turkey put RWS on it? Tech could be taken by less advanced nations.

Also, GNA is fighting LNA not a terrorist group. No IEDs are used by both sides. Most LNA weapons will destroy Kirpi fairly easily.

Kirpi is not designed to fight on front but to carry personal. RWS is more to defend and not attacking in the front line. Nobody in the world is using MRAP to attack enemy.

Trust me, you are saying that now and you will see that GNA will use on front-line. They probably see Kirpi as some god vehicle that is hard to destroy and while being much better than technicals that are being used on front-lines I agree they are not sufficiently armed for front-line battle. Hold me against my statement and I will send you some videos of Kirpi in front lines destroyed or fighting once videos are posted.

Both sides in the conflict are characterised by incompetence (LNA more than GNA though). We will ofcourse see these vehicles on the frontline and maybe some damaged/destroyed. There is already several videos of captured armoured vehicles which UAE and Egypt delivered to LNA.

If turkey really wanted to help. They should send atgm's not mrap's
They did lol. LNA has AT-14 Kornet and Turkey sent Milan and some older Soviet ATGM.
If one of these hits the Kirpi I can't imagine what the remains of the passengers will look like.

LNA has way more support and way more vehicles, and troop selection to choose from because of their vast land, and many smaller cities that make up a big population. LNA probably has thousands of vehicles donated from UAE, KSA, Egypt, and Russia. They were barely captured, one was destroyed so that makes sense that they could tow it around when the crew is most likely dead.

LNA could win the war if more drone strikes took place. Add identification systems to LNA soldiers to distinguish from enemies such as infrared patch on trucks, or something. Once GNA troops come together launch a ATGM at them and that would be a good use of ground-attack aircraft that would support pushes into enemy territory.
