What's new

"The west shows how small Putin really is"...

I found that one too, but that doesn't give a very clear picture of the nature of their foreign assets.
Too much research needed. My head becomes 102* F when I try to do that nowadays.
Anyways Is it advisable for the U.S to push Russia into such a place where default becomes their only option. I mean not just politically(where Russia uses default as a political threat) but economically i.e when their reserves start to dry up - at some point they'd let the Ruble go and with it all repayments. After all as you said, no one wants that to happen, but with the present sanction regime and (presumably) oil manipulations thats exactly where we are headed, aren't we. Shouldn't you people just let Ukraine go.

Ukraine is too important for europe to let it go. A russian state bancruptcy is not as risky as a loss of ukraine.

That link actually gives a very good view of assets, broken down by government, central bank, corporate, and personal assets, categorized by type of asset, and duration. What are you looking for, exactly?

As we discussed, default is not an inevitability, it is a choice. A choice that would hurt Russia far more than the West. Those loudly proclaiming that Putin holds all the cards are either delusional, or secretly wish for Russia's destruction.

Why should we let Ukraine go? Shouldn't Russia let Crimea go?

Ukrainians hate Americans. Feel free to let Ukraine go  90 % Crimeans are Russians 10 % Crimeans are Tatars. Crimea is part of Russia by ethnic composition :agree: Therefore Russia not let Crimea go.

I wanted to see a classification for the assets (country/type etc). That links talks about the ownership of the assets.

Defaulting next year or next month is a choice, but for the long-term it is pretty much assured. They pumped $90bn of their dollar reserves just this year on the ruble. They can't do it forever and even then it still crashed like crazy. Oil prices may or may not rise in the future but investor-confidence in Russia/Rouble/Central Bank of Russia wont at least until the sanctions aren't eased.

As for Ukraine, aah forget it.

Die Welt is a Springer Presse product. Before you become an employee of this company, you have to sign a contract that you are not allowed to write anything against the transatlantic alliance or against Israel.

Springer Presse is a core part of the NATO propaganda machinery.

Some of these famous German media organs are established by CIA. As a journalist, you have to write good things about USA and Israel politics or interests of NATO.

This is the article for that heading. Check it and burn:sick:
So? What is your point?

Which + please document your case. (Otherwise just one more opinion)

i dont question your presence. Your escape is understandable.

Every dog has its day. Back then, Germany was a shitty country when millions left for USA and Brazil despite objections from the native populations there.

Wrong. You should face Reality. The time when most germans did go USA was when Germany was at peak of its power under Bismarck. Bismarck wanted to fight the socialist movement and many poorer working families got tickets and a small amount of money to leave germany. That way Bismarck took the socialists base away,

Hitler's socialism was key to rejuvenating Germany's economy in the 1930s.
