The real causes of Muslims scientific downfall

I need some material on this topic (for a debate competition.
Deviance from islam is the most commonly told factor for their downfall.

I read on a book long ago (probably by Dr. Ausaf Ali) that the lack of entrepreneurship culture in Muslim empires was a major cause of Muslims scientific downfall .

That's an interesting factor not usually discussed
I think some more similar factors would have been there that caused their scientific downfall

2. Lost Enlightenment - Central Asia's Golden Age from Arab Conquest to Tamerlane by S. Frederick Starr

There is another book which is not on Islamic culture or society but you will find it interesting is 'Collapse - How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed'.

Jurji Zaydan's History of Islamic Civilization is also a good read.

The golden age of Islam ended around 1100 BC due to "conservatives" banning free thought and enlightenment.
Before that, we had freedom of thought, opinion and were not scared of knowledge. No one was calling each other "liberandu" or whatever for having different views then them.
Once conservative Islam took hold, it's been a death spiral.

Turkish has its own deed of course, their military power protect Islam from Western power. Then Turkish power gives some time for other Asian region to embrace Islam before later being colonized by Westerners.

Turkey is a secular nation, yes there are calls for it to be declared an Islamic federation but that's just words for now.
Kemal Ataturk made Turkey secular and gave the military the job to defend secularism in the nation, you can see that in 2016 coup attempt to remove Erdogan with his radical policies.
And Turkey is in NATO why would they have beef with western powers? Black sea is important geopolitically that's why Turkey's "double dealings" with Russia and western enemies is tolerated.

Sure, he can be wrong about AL Ghazali, but the sentiment is correct.
We have become so conservative that we shun any kind of knowledge that is not "Islamic"
Especially knowledge from the west.
The early Muslims were literally translating all the western knowledge they could, today if you tried to do that you get called all sorts of nasty names by conservatives.
East Asia literally took western knowledge and became economic super powers.

Even government under prophet Muhammad never call Madinah as Islamic State of Madinah as some Muslim countries do (Afghan, Iran, Pakistan)

Go check Madinah carter first before comment about Islam and Muslim matter

Dont forget that Indonesia, Turkey, etc are part of OIC while we dont allow India to be part of it
