Punjab government has been actively promoting both the livestock as well as cold storage industry in Punjab...ever wonder why packaged milk companies have spread like mushrooms in Punjab or why the premium quality fruit has extinguished from the markets? Having first hand knowledge helps a lot...

Yes it does coz my cousin were doing molecular research in milk and livestock when some stupid politics stopped their project wont go into details but it sure is a surprise the same man seems to have taken a You turn!

Any details of strategy/plan to improve live stock sector? veterinary university news was already shared here and the university alone is not enough.

no its called biotechnology using molecular methods to study livestock which produce more milk and to selectively breed them to increase natural milk production ...thats just the jist of it :enjoy:

Funding was stopped and some stupid politician's stupid relative overturned the project!

Cross breeding makes sense but I don't think for that you would need "molecular research on milk".....btw NIBGE works on genetic engineering and its applications to agriculture etc.But for livestock milk productivity is controlled by studying the potential of cross breeding.....
