PTI announces ‘historic public rally’ in Lahore on Wednesday

Party leader Hammad Azhar says no one can stop ex-PM's voice as his voice is Pakistan's voice right now

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that it will hold a "historic" rally in Lahore on Wednesday, which will be attended by party chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan.

The announcement comes as Imran Khan has been evading arrest attempts by law enforcing agencies and is facing charges of money laundering and illegally selling gifts received during his tenure as prime minister.

Despite the ongoing legal issues, the PTI leadership remains undeterred and is keen to showcase its strength in Lahore.

Speaking at a press conference, party leader Hammad Azhar said, "When that lion (Imran Khan) will leave Zaman Park on Wednesday, there will be historic scenes in Lahore. Future generations would read and see the pictures and videos of [this event]. They will understand this is how a nation becomes alive."

Hammad went on to say that no one can stop Imran Khan's voice as his voice is Pakistan's voice right now. He also took a swipe at the ruling government, saying that the leaders sitting in Islamabad often forget what the actual temperature of Pakistan is.

"The weather is usually pleasant in Islamabad, so the people sitting on the throne often forget what the actual temperature of Pakistan is," he said.

The PTI had previously suspended its 'Jail Bharo' movement earlier this month following the Supreme Court's ruling in a suo motu notice over delay in the announcement of elections in Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

However, several PTI leaders and workers were still arrested as part of the movement, which sought to mark a protest against the government's policies and to put pressure on the government to announce elections.

It remains to be seen how the government will respond to the PTI's planned rally in Lahore, particularly given Imran Khan's ongoing legal troubles. However, the PTI leadership is clearly determined to show that it still has the support of the people, and that Imran Khan remains a potent force in the country’s political landscape.

its should break all records of history .

PTI should announce another march towards Islamabad. Only men, no women and children. Let the traitors start killing people by the hundreds and spark a revolution that will sweep away the evil ones.

It should be clear by now that Pakistan cannot get rid of the filth without blood being spilled.

Lahore administration should not entertain such requests.

Across all of Pakistan. From Peshawar to Lahore and to Karachi. Irrespective of ethnic group, political party, sect etc.

I don't understand why Pakistanis within Pakistan have not revolted ages ago. They seem to like to be spat on and taken hostage by a rotten Pakistani "elite" (political, military, business etc.) that have largely done nothing to improve the life of the average Pakistani. In fact rather the opposite, they have continuously been robbing Pakistan and sinking it all the way to the abyss and the current catastrophic economic and political situation.

Anyway as usual it will amount to nothing.

People deserve the misery they live in when accepting status quo like some gutless eunuchs.

The government must wrest control of the provincial capital from the miscreants.
Good luck with that when hundreds of thousands of people turn up. This is a banana republic so your expecting too much especially from this incompetent government.

I wonder why are they announcing this historic rally from a subservient, feudalist society like Lahore cause its definitely not the city that stopped IK's arrests dozens of times in the middle of the night or how the city square liberty square was filled to the brim with thousands and thousands of people within a moments notice

they should start this rally from non feudal city like Karachi where the city never once saw a proper protest movement demanding autonomy or reforms to change its plight

or Peshwar where no one showed up for IK's dumb jail bharo tahreek, police officers had to literally go in with speakers and daalas asking people to please come in, they are ready to arrest people - no one did and politcal leaders of KPK came from all over the province to join jail bharo tahreek but in the end escaped right at the last minute

this historic public rally should not take place in a feudalist city like Lahore, it should start from a politically aware, revolutionary city like Karachi- all of em like to talk, why dont we test em?

City administration officials should be reprimanded if they continue to be held hostage by a barbaric mob.

Nah its revolution the country itself is ruled by gangsters.

Get off the revolutionary juice and act rational.

The cheerleading for blood from overseas Pakistanis resulted in multiple massacres already in Pakistan most notably during the previous regime.

There is no law in Pakistan any more. The illegitimate rulers are breaking every law under the sun. They don’t follow the constitution, judges are on their payroll, security forces are going around killing people.

The liberation forces should declare that they’re under no obligation to follow any so-called law until the illegitimate rulers are overthrown and real law and order is restored.

Yes let the Sharifs and Zardaris take Pakistan to bankruptcy and balkanization so China can own Gwadar and roads leading to xinjiang forever and Sharifs own Punjab and Zardaris own Sindh.

This retarded elite of yours already lost East Pakistan.
