TV broadcasting is under the control of PEMRA, a federal government's authority... PML-N can only affect cable TV transmission in Punjab and yes it is the violation of freedom of speech, and also violation of the PEMRA laws... Punjab government can be prosecuted in any court of law.

If this is case of some village then I can understand by shutting down couple of cable operators you can cut of some channel .. but Lahore is big city .. just wondering why any of cable operator is not registering case against this blackmailing ..
This is golden opportunity for IK and PPP.... they have clear case against PML-N can't they go to court .. keep dragging PML-N in court until they get exhausted or public kick them out from Punjab ...
