People in Pakistan Losing Trust in Army

Does it affect Army ? Don’t really think so.
That's where you are wrong. No army can survive without the support from its people. This will not either if they don't course correct themselves soon.

They will survive, the US will support them to make sure they keep their hold on our country.

We have seen them surviving in 71, by dropping their pants. That is the only way.
They will happily break the country and some low level napak fauj will surrender... and to be fair that is only if there is even a fight, by the looks of it, Pakistanis are in no mood of fighting back, unlike our brothers from the East.

Loosing Trust in the Army is directly proportional to Army ignoring the aspirations and demands of the people from whose tax income this huge Army is maintained and survives, and what is this demand, just a fair and free elections.

It's like cutting the hands that feeds them, as the inhuman, anti civilian actions by the Army has resulted in a paradigm shift in Awam hearts and mnds.

So people loosing trust in Army is a good thing, happening first time in 75 years. First you loose respect and then you loose power and pelf.

And with it a resurgent civilian strong movement will be the icing on the cake, getting there...a matter of time now.

I think the brutality that Pakistan has seen is unparalleled (exception of ‘71).

That’s why you see judges, lawyers, benches recusing themselves or taking u-turns. Ofcourse there are foot soldiers within every institution.

Musharraf was probably too soft. Had he taken out Iftikhar Chaudhry he would have still be there.

Off Topic: Think that Isb. HC stooge CJ will give relief to IK and in other cases too, so as to defang the anti government protests against the huge rise in electricity bills, this could turn volatile any moment.

With orders from the neutral duffers.

No organisation should become bigger than the role that is envisaged from them. Moment that happens, that nation would face acute problems.
It could be political class, judiciary, bureaucracy etc etc. In any nation, with decent governance a balance remains. There can be minor ups and downs but nothing major.

Paksiatn was unlucky, since it didn’t have leaders of unmatched standing after early demise of Jinnah. Military grabbed that opportunity and claimed to have filled that void.

Rest is history.

Pakistan did have leaders but the Generals did not allow them to get
popular support.

Even if Modi was in Pakistan he will be making tea in Attock jail because
the Generals will not let him rule.

I am talking of, standing, where no one can even think of sidelining them.

Could any General ever do such a thing to leaders like Gandhi, Jinnah, Nehru, Patel and many more. These leaders had massive popular support and following, even well before 1947 and didn’t need any propping up or image building later.

India had a bigger list of such leaders while Paksiatn didn’t.

Pakistan's history over the last 75 years can be summed up as a tragicomedy drama.

they survived because they were cowards and ran for their lives.
they should have been hanged for their crimes in east pakistan. Bhutto should have been tried plus the generals and hung back then for not upholding the election results.
