Pakistani rice sold as made in India abroad

Dhokyebaaji is endemic to Indian business practices. What else is there to say.

Pakistan should sell packaged retail and reduce selling unmarked bulk packages to Indian traders overseas.

Pakistanis should also apply to GI (Geographic Indication) for select Pakistani Basmati rice variety product as produced in Pakistan only.

Indian traders have already tried to fake Bangladeshi fruit, textile products as their own - dhokeybaaj as they are. After lawsuits with GI authority, they gave up their claims.

Odd thing is only dhokeybaaji attempts come so far from Indian side and not Bangladesh or Pakistan.

Indian traders are doing this with Pakistani Himalayan Pink Salt as well.

Yes. I am aware of India selling Bangladeshi textiles as made in India from last 10-12 years.

I said this way before and did investigation

Here in Italy they do the opposite.

They (the indians) buy large quantities and then, since nobody here buys indian stuff, put on "Product of Pakistan".

BTW im talking about mostly food like rice daal etc.

Imran khan should take the notice and strict action should be taken against these hindutva terrorists state

Basmati rice is indigenous to Pakistan punjab Gujranwala belt. You take it anywhere else and it will loss basmati aroma. Hence basmati grown in India is basmati only in name.

Pakistan has got the GI tag for Basmati rice, which India actually claimed to be their own(another fraudulent claim). But getting a GI tag makes it possible for Pakistan to use the name Basmati for the rice produced here, but still cannot stop the Indian practice of importing Pak rice in bulk into Dubai and SriLanka and repack and sell it as produce of India, or Made in India(was expecting it to sell less as poor quality is associated with India).

The other fraudulent practice these Indians do is to market their very cheap quality Indian rice as 'Made in Pakistan' so as to lower the Pakistan produce value for the customers and give bad name to Pakistan and the market sentiments, a double fraud and cheating by them.

If they sell poor quality rice of India as product of Pakistan, initially this might be helpful and sell, but later on Pakistan produce will get a bad name as the product will be found to be of poor quality. So this actually damaging Pakistan market for Basmati rice and of some other products.

Pakistan has got the GI tag for Himalayan Pink salt as well, actually it is the pink salt mined at Khewra, the second largest salt mine in the world. The exports to India has been stopped, but there must be some channels, but Pink salt in large quantity can not be exported now.

They tried to grab GI tag for Basmati rice in 2016 and were shown the door. Pakistan is getting GI tag for Himalayan salt and Basmati rice (albeit shared one) now.

Pakistani business community lack the vision hence they continue to sell salt and basmati rice without adding value and which is why Indian businessmen earned the actual profit by selling Pakistani goods.

Part of the problem is our government which doesn't regulate business properly and hence we continue to lose the market outside Pakistan.

Yes Bangladesh govt. is more or less in the same irresponsible position. Sad.

I've heard of indians claiming to be Pakistanis in night clubs to impress white girls but this is ridiculous, are you guys really that ashamed of your own rice? 🙄
