Pakistan officially inducts HQ 9 Air Defence system

I agree with your points but HQ-9s missiles are interchangeable depending on the requirements. Similar to both the Patriot/S400. Everything else sums it up.

Interchangeable with what? HQ-9 is a one missile system.

HQ-9 was developed from the very beginning to be using active radar seeker with 2-way datalink, while S-300 and Patriot started with track-via-missile (TVM), a combination of semi-active radar homing (SARH) and radio command guidance. System wide HQ-9 is completely different to S-300 and Patriot except for the launching mechanism which resembles S-300's and could be a result of reverse engineering.

Chinese have better sensors/electronic-based systems now than the Russians, more compact hardware means better system performance overall.

Don't forget when china negotiated Su-35s from Russia, they precisely asked for sensory components to be of Chinese origin. which initially Russia declined similarly later accepted as they are cash stricken.

I think by accepting first unit in Karachi we can assume it will provide Air defence to nuclear installations in Karachi, It was decided at the time of agreement for the nuclear power production units in Karachi would be provided mid to long range air defence cover.

Karachi is home to air defense center so I am not sure if they are really inducting it there or just used the center vicinity for induction ceremony.

However, considering Karachi's terrain the SAM could be used there effectively.

Further we would need the cover there to cover vital installations till the Chinese frigates are operationalized.

Well, this is our strength, critiquing our armed forces then suggesting improvements and having brainstorms overall benefits this country. Indians as usual take their armed forces propaganda in Biblical wording.

This has caused a propaganda bubble around India where anything outside that bubble is a straight-up lie.

We criticize our armed forces for the betterment, with no grudge or anything.
Well.... We do have users such as areesh that literally curses them. There is criticism and then there is insulting. Ive seen quite a few users who prefer the latter

Air Defence is a hard and demanding job you need to have experienced and well trained soldiers.
e.g Iran shot down a Ukrainian airliner cause they thought it was US cruise missile all you see is a blip on screen and determine wether is it a friendly or hostile enemy except when you have an IFF.

Or a certain neighbor shooting down their own helicopter. Let’s not forget that one.

Indians have gone on a rampage on social media calling HQ9 Chinese maal even called their own s300 useless bcz Hq9 is derived from it. Funny thing is that they dont even have s400 yet and might not even get it bcz of CAATSA sanctions by US.

Our greatest weapon against India is Indians themselves 😂😂😂

The coverage extends from 90%pk for targets within 100km and altitudes of 50k+ - then it reduces from there until it hits the border and then some.
Based out of Karachi isnt indicative of being in Karachi. Technically 3 airbases and 7 major facilities can be covered by this if deployed at the right spot down south.

Indian aircraft looking to avoid it will focus on stand off and try to go around the sea but then they will still face it(in another form) so the next step will be to try and fire volleys upon volleys of KH-31s or Rudrams at it and throw Harpys at it. That is where the loss of the pantsir will be felt so another system is necessary that can act as a CIWS for the hq9.
The approaches that the IAF enjoyed avoiding Pakistani IADS through AAR and the MKI down south are now all but gone anyway. The only avenue remains sneaking through the mountains up north but even the approach to those is now covered. They fly low they face LOMADS, they fly high they face the HQ9 and the PL-15.

In a way, limited warfare and surgical strikes are going to disappear to options of greater force commitment and therefore escalation which they don’t necessarily want yet either.

Peace is secured - at least from overt means. Economically, politically and covertly through media and hybrid war India is landing blows upon blows.

Exactly, I was about to point out the same thing.

Those days are long gone when our nuclear sites used to be the only thing requiring such heavy protection.

Now there are plenty of other strategic and operational level assets which require equal protection.

As already pointed out, the exact deployment area of this AAD asset will be away from Karachi at a place where it will be able to deny multiple approaches required by IAF to target our important assets.

And then let's not forget available approaches from the west of Karachi, from the direction of Gwadar and Pasni, a long detour using our vulnerable sea flank can completely bypass our AD assets deployed on our eastern frontier.... These vulnerable approaches are also being covered and vulnerabilities addressed by some high end assets, talk about which you'll not find anywhere.... Well... Let's save it for the coming months....
