What's new

Pakistan is in a debt (death) trap

If this was true north Korea would have done great
It's started as developed nation where is it now

Several other examples what happened to liberal middle Eastern countries
Liberal Middle Eastern countries were in the Soviet sphere of influence, and thus destroyed by the U.S.

The CIA prefers Salafi Jihadists.

Socialist Afghanistan, destroyed and converted to CIA-friendly salafi jihadists, until the U.S. got embarrassed, now controlled by the Taliban.

Socialist Iraq, destroyed and converted to CIA-friendly salafi jihadists, until the U.S. got embarrassed, now controlled by Iran.

Socialist Libya, destroyed and converted to CIA-friendly salafi jihadists.

Socialist Somalia, destroyed and converted to CIA-friendly salafi jihadists.

Socialist Syria, destroyed and converted to CIA-friendly salafi jihadists, until Iran and Russia intervened.

Socialist Egypt, coopted by U.S. backed military dictatorship. CIA did "arab spring", did not like the result, reverted to U.S. backed military dictatorship.

Commie Pai,

Islam is Communism plus God. There is no need to be bothered if a formerly socialist nation becomes an Islamic state (or what you pejoratively describe as a salafi jihadist state)

Regards

Socialist Afghanistan, Socialist Iraq, Socialist Libya, Socialist Syria, and Socialist Egypt were relatively successful, but they made them basket cases instead.

That is the tragedy.

U.S. machinations of the cold war that didn't end with the dissolution of the USSR.
Socialist Afghanistan: Invaded by USSR, freed with the help of U.S. Decided to go rogue with OBL/al-Queda. Now back to failed state mode.
Socialist Iraq: decided to invade Kuwait, that unfortunately turned into self-destruct button under the able leadership of Great Saddam
Socialist Libya: This was a mistake; Gaddafi was crazy but not really dangerous (compared to present failed state mode) other than a terrorist act or two once in a while (blowing up Pan-Am, bombing a disco ...)
Socialist Syria: Civil war; U.S. has been a bit player. Likely to be a failed state after the civil war ends. Just a larger Lebanon.
and Socialist Egypt: U.S. has been pouring billions of dollars to 'buy' peace (with Israel); still a failed state.

Education offers a way but if you started today then you would see the results after maybe 20 years. Pakistan is paying the price of having become, and been, a "Security State", with the added irony that it is no longer secure,
It is more a ticking time bomb.

You are seriously anachronistic. Modern timers run on quartz crystal and there is nothing to tick. They blow up without warning. Have you ever worn a mechanical (winding) watch - just curious.

I just checked to see if my watch ticks. It doesn't. 😀

Turkey and Iran no. The opposite. Turkey and Iran have suppressed the rights of religious minorities. Not that Pakistan is much better.
Iran for sure. Turkey ?? they used to pretty tolerant 20 years ago

I don't even know where to start. What exactly makes you think such a country can be termed tolerant? Open this Wiki template and look at the columns historical events and policies https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Turkish_nationalism

Otherwise read this article, though I have to laugh at the "moderate Muslim sect" claim https://islamoscope.wordpress.com/2008/10/27/turkey-and-secularism-myth-or-reality/

This one too, although he has yet to prove his allegations against Muhammed but the rest is pretty correct https://www.danielpipes.org/comments/153726

You were talking about religious minorities not ethnic minorities. Turkish state is somewhat intolerant towards non-Turks irrespective of religion

Socialist Afghanistan: Invaded by USSR, freed with the help of U.S.

They were not "invaded" they invited the Soviets to come and crush the Islamist uprising. The Soviets came reluctantly but never intended to stay,

Hardly an "invasion." More of a conflcit prolinging longer than the "invader" anticipated.

Did you even read the articles in the link? Did you look at anything I posted? Can you explain the persecution of Alevis? The destruction of Churches or the imposed taxation on non-Muslims?

You seem to be confused in every topic I post.
