Pakistan is in a debt (death) trap

Pakistani leaders have come up with the cypher story for political reasons and gains but no side has benefitted from this nonsense. Public is not interested in this BS but desire accountability, growth, and a sound foreign policy.

A large number of households in Pakistan are able to make ends meet due to employment created by Western companies and Western clients. These households positively contribute to economy of the country.

Pakistan cannot excuse itself from Western markets, investors, and clients and call it a day. This is not how it works.

What is the alternative then?
Chinese market is different.
Chinese consumers are different.
Russian market is different.
Russian consumers are different.

Iran has oil that can be sold to other countries. Pakistan does not have this luxury.

Pakistan cannot follow in the footsteps of Iran and risk global isolation. Pakistan cannot risk becoming another North Korea. Pakistan will descend to civil war if it comes down to this.

If something in the country is right, do not damage it.

1. Pakistan is in dire need of societal reforms and Good Governance.
2. Pakistan needs to find a way to make electricity affordable and revive its industrial capability.
3. Pakistan should strive for having good bilateral relations with as many countries as possible.

This is how Pakistan will become strong and have an independent foreign policy.

If you want to do bloc politics and fight Cold War of superpowers, you are not a strong country with independent foreign policy but an expendable pawn in FITNA of others.

Smart countries will excuse themselves.
My question is, what is it that you gonna lose if you do some risk?

Could it be worse than this? IMF is already beheading Argentina. Question to Argentinians could be, do you have anything to lose if you show your middle finger to IMF and western payment system?

Why not try other ways? Pakistani workers are cheaper than Chinese, that's an important factor to boost Pakistani economy instead of begging terrorist organizations like IMF and the likes?

You kinda are repeating whatever I am saying anyways, you seem to have an issue with MMS right?

I don't have any issues with MMS but i am against petty politics played in the name of taking credit.

I was repeating because in order to get out of debt trap having FM like MMS is not enough, Pakistan now needs a PM as PVN who can take a stand on reforms and steer the boat towards its destination.

Not enough people came out. After all, it was a woman that led the charge at the fence. Everyone else was sleeping. Once this caretaker setup sent everyone the new electricity bill, now they are awake.
I still dont think they will be awake ... but give them a blasphemy case, they will all wake up and go after the poor and vulnerable.

Until these haramkhor GHQ generals are hung plus their ISI murderers - nothing will change.

Erdogan did right, he cut their entire heads off once and for all.

Last time there was starvation in France was 1789. Since then, they have been having their baguette, fromage and even some good vigne.
We were talking about economic problems not starvation before you Jump into the discussion like a dancing chimpanzee.

Here Yellow Vests shot in their eyes by the French police.

Pakistan will be kept on the ventilator by sepoys' masters, that is the promise that has been made to the sepoys for unconditional loyal service for 250 years.

The non corrupt civilian population will continue to suffer and will look to find ways to go abroad even more so now.

Strangely, all elites of Pakistan knows they are sitting on a ticking debt death trap but no one seems to bothered about it, anyone knows why ?
Well historically Pakistan debt was much worse

Pakistan surely has a governance problem but looking at numbers not a debt trap

Though I will add the word "yet"

80% debt to GDP ratio and 40% ext debt isn't a trap in growing population

Lack of taxation structural reforms and bleeding state emprises are !!

Pakistan has more a state enterprise, corruption and bad governance trap rather then a debt trap

But it easy to blame the debt and wash your hands rather than fix/privitize state enterprises and raise taxation

You are extra optimistic .

You are extra optimistic .
Not really
Nawaz sharif is coming back and he will make sure we get there
After all he did a splendid job in 1999 we were at 70% ext debt twice of what we are now

With few more metros and extra power plants and some here there projects he would get us there and add a few more Bentley for bubloo in London

Historically Pakistan always had the option of getting financed from either US or China for fighting against India and USSR or supporting military action in Afghanistan and Ruling elites always used those finance received for building their own muscle power & business empire, so Pakistan never had debt issues.

But now situation is different Afghanistan lost its value due to Ukraine conflict and US turned toward India to contain China so strategic dept once Pakistan has diminished, but in future it may return but as far as now it is nowhere to seen. Due to loss of importance, finance part has got major hit and those empire built on funding from abroad are struggling to hold on their own.

Pakistan’s Debt to GDP ration might be not got out of hand but capacity to refinance and repayment has been seriously hampered, due to that burden on common man is steadily increasing.

Pakistan has got lot of economic & reform problems eg. Birth control, taxation, agricultural & industrial reforms and under utilization of power capacity, for that you need a strong elected government which should have welded powers to cut down expenses and create job opportunity and thereby increase peoples capacity for repayment of debts.

Biggest elephant in the room is reforms in Military i.e, cutting it down the size and second one is restructuring Power sector by renegotiating & closing unnecessary projects might solve 80% of Pakistan’s debt problem but who is going to bell the cat, NS, BB or IK ? all of them are tried, tested and dusted.

None of the above have the capacity to guide Pakistan get out of this mess as all of them want only one thing i.e, power. If everyone sit across the table then create a road map for revival of Pakistan but who will sacrifice their hunger power ? Establishment, Judiciary, Politicians, Elites or Media Managers ?

You are extra optimistic .

Pakistan's always over optimistic, he thinks NS, who is accused of corruption, will come and solve his problems, whereas he is coming back to close in court cases and become PM.

It will take 20 years to develop Pakistan but you need somebody like Mustafa Kamal Pasha or Mao tse Tung , Religion is biggest drawback which keeping most of the muslim country and India a backward nation.
