So when the US built 10,000 warheads did they seek Pakistan's permision ?

Pakistan needs to have at least 5000 + warheads to be taken seriously as a nuclear power. Period.

Pakistan also need to build another 20 Reactors to amply provide the Energy needed by this growing country.

Its so easy to write Numbers... do have the facilities to manage even 500 Nuclear warheads... both deployed and in reserve ??
India exploded its 1st nuke bomb 25 years before Pakistan did.... still we have just 80 Nuclear warhead enough to deter any threat.... while the emphasis has been more on thermonuclear ones or the Hydrogen bombs..... which are more long lasting and 1000s times more destructive plus lighter than the fission bombs which Pakistan manufactures... wonder If they have proper facilities to take care of bomb materials that have expired in Pakistan... since the fission bombs doesn't last long as compared to Hydrogen ones.

Once again I would mention here that fission bombs are not pancakes which you can just keep on making... Its quiet hazardous for the crew taking care.. and very easy for spies to locate the place.... It also constantly pollutes the surroundings and make people around suffer from diseases.

Islamabad, Nov 2 (IANS) Power-starved Pakistan is looking to import electricity from India, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said.

Talks are on for import of 500 to 1,000 megawatt of electricity from India, Associated Press of Pakistan quoted Gilani as saying.

Speaking at a television programme, Gilani said all resources would be utilised and short, medium and long term energy projects would be initiated.

The prime minister said the Council of Common Interest (CCI) had unanimously approved building the Diamer Bhasha Dam, which would produce 4,000 MW of electricity and increase the life of the Tarbela Dam by 35 years.

In August, Gilani had constituted a high-powered committee to resolve the issue of unscheduled power outages in the country.

Pakistan’s power shortfall had reached 5,000 MW. The country was generating 13,250 MW against a peak demand of over 18,000 MW.

The country has witnessed protests over the lack of electricity. In July, two people were killed and 30 injured in a pitched battle between police and locals who were upset over acute electricity shortage in a town in Punjab province.

Gilani said an accountability bill would be tabled in parliament and added that national institutions would be made more strong to check corruption.

The prime minister said he had been hearing about corruption since he joined politics and every government had faced corruption charges, but the allegations were denied, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.

The governments of Muhammad Khan Junejo, Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto were removed on charges of corruption, he added.

He said it was very easy to raise the issue of corruption, but if somebody has proof of corruption, he could go to the courts and authorities concerned.

While talking about the economy, Gilani said he raised the issue of restructuring of public sector entities during his interaction with businessmen in Australia.

“I will soon announce a two year plan to change the whole economy and turn around the state owned entities,” he was quoted as saying.

13 250 MW is a normal requirement for any normal state here in India.... yet some people think its better to stay in dark... to make 1000s of bombs which would not be used any day.... or may be they are just some spoiled brats who have electricity in their houses plus high VA battery Invertors for a 24 Hour power supply to puke trash all over internet and care nothing about the poor men next door who are smoking their houses with kerosene oil lamps..... pathetic indeed.

That is the reason we are trying to build more nuclear power plant to produce electricity in house.At the moment we are forced to buy frm neighbour countries.
Secndly,Logically Pakistan do not need t incease its stck piles in thousands but a number 300-400 with all types(fission and fussion) would be enough to hold a nuclear state title and self deterance.

Pak-Bangla ties are bound to improve and solidify like those during Gen Zias' of both nations. It would then be in strategic advantage of both nations as well as a great boost for the Muslims of SA if couple of launching sites were established in BD housing Pak nuclear weapons.

I dont think anybody wants to irradiate India's complete geography.
Nukes dont just effect the area they go off in. the effect spreads over hundreds of miles.
The only thing needed to collapse a nation is to hit its major population center's.. the cornerstones of economy and industry.
And to hit its water supplies.
that is enough to cause mass famine, radiation poisoning.. and genocide all over.

If any one do that the smaller attacking country remains history .
destroying Indian population will not be enough, we have nukes at remote areas.
Which one do you chose? Cities or Remote areas?

You need supercomputers and a set of engineers specialized in the field to design a fusion bomb and stimulate the results on those supercomputers... along with that tritium generation plants are also required... and in the end of all you'll have to perform an underground tests to get the results for further calculations and modification... Its a long and complicated process hence It would take more than 20 years to get your 1st hydrogen bomb... besides the whole world would do their best to stop you from doing that... hence better be self content and happy with 100-120 fusion bombs you got.

So what is the cheaper alternative that you use instead of kerosene ??... at least in Indian villages they still prefer kerosene lamps when there's a power cut which usually happens in remote villages.

And without this we are already endangered by India which kills our citizens everyday on the border. Which has taken up a project to turn us into a desert by withdrawing water from all the 54 common rivers. Whatever the risks, we will ask for Pak or Chinese nukes when the time is correct.

Jamal, in my personal opinion, the world should be free of WMD including superpowers - there should be no VETO powers in UN, only the process of voting.

And you know what will happen in return.

On the other hand, when US used the WMD against Japan with the positive nod of Allies - What happened? Nothing - they celebrated that all over the world. Till today they are proud and boasting of their cruel and vicious act and defend that shamelessly. Even today they are on relentless killing spree of millions of innocent people all over the world and claimed to be heroes.

Why they are afraid of such technology in others hands? Only they want to live in peace of mind that whatever they do none can retaliate.

No, I am not saying the country should not have them; clearly they should, and expand their numbers to match the west.

I am just mentioning the casualness with which many on this forum (and else where) talk about using them.

It was the western countries that stopped the world from going non-nuclear in the 70's and 80's when it was possible.

They want to talk about non-proliferation, when the real topic on the table should be disarmament.
