Onboard video: RLV TD!!!

no its not a scam but first baby step towards cheap space exploration and commerical activity it still gonna take at least a decade if not more to make something like indian version of Buran or discovery type space shuttles ... now chillax mate

Guru Bhai.. Kaise ho yara ??

im fit and fine bro how are you looks like a lot of old timers are not to be seen on PDF ;)

I really miss my old pals from 2006-8. I saw u as banned, Im so glad to see u back brother.
PS : Ban hone ka Dar Khatam ho jata h.. Jab Ye pata ho ki Jis Post p Ban hona h.. wo sale apne Bhai log.. "tag" to ho hi chuke h !!:lol:

First of all a scale model and technology demonstrator is just that, a model and not the real thing.
By reporting it as a real fully functional Indian space shuttle s false perception is being created and it is as bad as spreading lies, and a media stunt.
The minimum altitude required for launching satellite is 300 km and this scale model which wasn't even a prototype was only sent to an altitude of 70km. No satellite can be launched at that height as you are still in the atmosphere.
second thing is how long it will take to make the real space shuttle? It could be decades,or never. A real space shuttle is far complicated, bigger and heavier than just a scale model with no electronics or engine.
Third thing is India spent 14 million dollars on flying a scale model just a few feet across, which had no capabilities of doing useful work, such as launching satellite or carrying people to space. It couldn't even land on a runway and had to splash down in the sea. How much it will cost India to fly the real thing,if ever, and how feasible it will be compared to Soyuz,Virgin Gallactic,SpaceX? Isn't Indian claim of making or trying to make world's cheapest commercial satellite launching platform is wrong? Scale model cost India 14 million USD to fly, while other service providers are offering actual satellite launch in less than that. For example Virgin galactic offers 450kg Wright satellite launch in sun synchronous orbit in 10 million USD today.
Another thing is why a scale model actually had to be flown to be tested, specially when it was the first test?
Wind tunnels and computer simulation are cheaper ways of doing the same.
But then how India would have made space shuttle claims and so much press?

Nobody argued that

Read the official claim. Media is celebrating premature for the confidence in ISRO

are you sure all SATs are out of atmosphere. ??? Google

You need to see ISRO's reputation.

You need the flight data. We don't have it. So we are gathering it. Wait for next launch

Dear Whatever your name is,
You need to read and read carefully, looking at your avtar i dont think you are capable of anything.
Anyways, this was a TD mission and not a full fledged satellite launch. What will follow now is the prototype or full scale mission which will take few years, may be upto 10 years. But when it is ready, then the next phase will be permanent space station. But that is just in talks right now.
We achieved what we wanted, Indian space program is not in race with anyone and purely based on what we want to achieve in next 10 years.
All our current goals are achieved, like latest goal was fully functional local version of GPS system (Naavik)

And why are you teaching us on the real space shuttle, how many of them you launched. Its my country who launched first of its kind in Asia so chill out, and dont teach us anything on space launch.

Again man, ISRO launched satellites for many countries and we are proud of what we do.

You can talk whatever you want, but when you trpy your crap my technology is orbiting Mars, which i'm sure you dont even know where is in sky.

So last word, do not teach us on space launch and space exploration, we know what we do and we will achieve glory.

ISRO never claimed it to be the real thing. It's you who seems to have a problem with accepting India could ever do such a thing. This is what ISRO says:
"
India’s Reusable Launch Vehicle-Technology Demonstrator (RLV-TD), Successfully Flight Tested
"
Read twice, thrice if required..

You are really dense in the head, why don't you look up the definition of a prototype? How does it matter to you how long it will take? The idea here is to study, improve and investigate what it takes to build the real thing. India's vision and ISRO's in particular are long-term; We want to build low-cost reusable vehicles, this was just a test to validate the research and efforts put in to check if the direction, results and efforts can be validated. We came out in flying colors much to your disappointment and your refusal to accept that Indians are now light years (literally) ahead from what Pakistan can achieve.

Again, you don't understand the definition of a prototype but your only intention here is to malign our efforts. No problem since your incompetence in doing research on the very terms you use in your ill-intended dialogue makes you look more stupid than what you are attempting to vilify.

and how feasible it will be compared to Soyuz,Virgin Gallactic,SpaceX? Isn't Indian claim of making or trying to make world's cheapest commercial satellite launching platform is wrong? Again, can you come up with figures for the Space X program in monetary measures? Can you prove the Space X program is cheaper than ISRO's? Actual cost of the flight will reduce once the final product is ready but the research to make such a product is not cheap. Even without looking at the figures I will claim that the research and program cost for ISRO is and will be lesser than Space X. Can you prove me wrong?

Another thing is why a scale model actually had to be flown to be tested, specially when it was the first test?

It's tiring to respond to you but I only wish this will help you research more before you vent your frustration at Indian capabilities under a false disguise of terming it "technical", not realizing that you will be called out for it..word-to-word.
In the world of simulation not all parameters can be simulated, because real world data and simulated data are different. Simulated data can mimic real world data from real data captured with such tests. Important parameters would have been captured which could lead to a change in design if needed. The fact that after separation, the craft could glide away and control it's crash into water is a great result. ISRO will build on this. Of course, wind tunnel was used in the design of the craft and hence it could glide but suggesting wind-tunnel tests to check separation and operations of the craft post separation is absurd. Regardless, irrespective of your caustic slander, the truth is India is on its way to achieve more glory while you can stand, stare and be jealous..
