Nearly 600 trafficked kids rescued from Kerala

Secular parties and secular people are trafficking Muslim kids from Bangladesh in large quanities to local Orphanages. This happened in my friggin town . They are trying to change the demographics of Kerala
I suggest you do take a look at the demographic rates of growth, or otherwise, in terms of seeing for yourself the pattern of hollowing out that is taking place.

Why should there be relocation of children from one state to another? The easiest thing is to build institutions and orphanages in the state where they are by the money provided by prosperous areas. Stop trying to equalize and distribute poverty.

That was our Home minister Ramesh Chennithala opinion .But then whole muslim community under IUML began to attack him.But he is a tough guy .He dont recognize their arrogance.Full fledged enquiry is happening in Kerala

Kerala Police and Palakkad district officials rescued almost 600 children being transported into the state from Bihar and Jharkhand on the pretext of sending them to orphanages. Officials, however, fear this to be a clear case of child trafficking.

On May 24, the authorities rescued 456 children, who were being transported from Bihar and Jharkhand. On May 25, 123 boys were rescued from another train at Palakkad railway station.

The authorities rescued the children following tips from Railway Police.

Eight people among the 43 who were escorting the children who were rescued on May 24 have been arrested. Of the 43 adults, 10 were women who had 10 infants with them, 8 boys and 2 girls.

The children, between the ages of 6 and 14, were packed in 3 unreserved compartments of the Patna-Ernakulam Express.

All that the children know is that they have been sent from home to an unknown place in Kerala to a so-called shelter home which would give them food and education. But is that what lies in store for them? The children were accompanied by 43 adults, who claimed to be their caretakers.

Palakkad district collector K. Ramachandran said, "Based on a tip-off, we found that 456 children were being transported to Kerala. We rescued the children who were being brought from Bihar and Jharkhand. Many of the kids are between the age of 6 to 14. They speak Hindi and they were told that they are going to be given food and education."

The children were apparently being taken to a shelter home, the Moiuddin Poya Haji Memorial Home in Kozhikode, north Kerala. V. Beeran, the manager of the shelter home, said, "For the last few years, we haven't been getting any children in our home. So we got these children so that we can take care of needy children. There is no exploitation here."

The police are yet to ascertain whether the children were being brought to the shelter home or were being brought to be trafficked. As of now, 156 children (88 boys and 68 girls) have been housed in the government shelter in Palakkad after the child welfare committee took down their statements.

Another 124 boys have been shifted to Pezhumkara government home and 175 kids, 161 girls and 14 infant boys, have been shifted to Providence home, a home for the destitute run by nuns in Malampuzha.

Father Jose, chairperson, Child Welfare committee, Palakkad, said, "We have requested that the police investigate the matter. We are in touch with the police in the states these children belong. We are trying to get the addresses so that we can help trace their homes."

Obviously, there is more than what meets the eye.

The 123 boys, who were intercepted at Palakkad railway station, have been housed in the government boys' home in Malappuram. These children also were carrying ID cards of an orphanage in Malappuram. Investigations are on to confirm the veracity of the orphanage.

The collector added, "We are trying to trace where the children were actually being taken."

He has issued orders that until the probe has not been completed, the children will be taken care of by the government.

Kerala Police has filed an FIR under the Juvenile Justice Act and begun investigations. The collector is now seeking Chief Minister Oommen Chandy's intervention in rehabilitating these children back to their homes.

This has been going on for quite some time, only now with the Change has it been brought to attention nationally.

Gives me shudders to even think of what those men were planning to do with these young kids.
I dont have much to add except that the muslim league party which maintained an ambivalent stand on this issue is shameful.

It is good if they well educated but it dont seem like that.Because most of them dont get real modern education ,only madrassa education. It is good if it dont seed extremists values .But none get high skilled jobs due to that.
Actually some of our friends have contributed to the 'tip off'. Let the thread continue a while longer and I will give certain details that I can.

Yes, its indeed a good move if there is no harm happens to that kids.. Government is giving these orphanages grants and there kids can have a better life here. As @sreekumar mentioned, if these kids are from most poverty stricken areas then its better for them to relocate.. I understand that its hard for them to be separated from their parents but they atleast get food at regular intervals..
Ummm, incorrect. From the data here with me now, the orphanages these kids were destined to go to did not run on Government money. Organ trafficking and slave trade is booming - these are the resources that's all. Btw long time seiko

Secondly, this is not new AND not engineered for changing demographics. This is the Gulf effect. Some of these teachers even claimed to be the parents of these orphans - oh the irony :D

Ironically, a most progressive environment for care of children without parents, or children from extremely poor homes, has fallen flat on its face due to the twin effects of a declining population and of government pressure to show performance through numbers. The so-called child trafficking is a direct result of the pressure on orphanages to show numbers, and these numbers have been dropping.

A question for our members: is it a bad thing if children from poor areas are re-located to more prosperous areas? And looked after and introduced into society as educated, well-read adults?

No, if there are being fed, given education there is no problem that I can see.

But, we must make sure that is the actual purpose, and not human traffickers masking their intent in charity.

to increase jihadi population by importing children from other states..

Something much darker. As it turns out, the orphanage's plan was to sell these children as slaves in gulf countries to make money. Can't even imagine what would those poor and innocent children would have gone through over there.

They had to literally import kids from across the other end of India??There are orphans and homeless/needy children in neighboring states as well and it makes sense to "source" them. Investigate and bust this whole ring.
While at it...Whats with the animals who long for these children in the gulf states? Bloody spots on humanity

@Joe Shearer Kerala is still very poor.

Another argument could be using that money for investment in proper garbage disposal, more energy security, improving roads, better policing etc.

Exploitation of children happens all over the world by all kinds of people. It's sad how some people are turning this into a Muslim or a "secular" issue.
