Since 1997, Boeing has worked with India’s premier software development companies — including HCL, Infosys, Wipro and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) — on many information technology projects, including systems reengineering and development, web enabling, e-business applications and long-term application maintenance. In 2005, Boeing began using engineers from Infosys and TCS on a variety of knowledge-based engineering and data analysis projects. It has also contracted for engineering services with TCS and Infosys to support aircraft design activity.

Boeing’s relationship with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) began in 1991, when HAL became the single-source producer of 757 overwing exit doors. HAL manufactures the 777 gear uplock box, 777 flaperons, F/A-18 gun bay doors, F/A-18 wire harnesses, P-8I weapons bay doors, P-8I tailcones, and P-8I identification friend or foe transponders.

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has delivered the Indian-designed Data Link II for the P-8I, a communications system that will enable exchange of tactical data and messages between the Indian navy aircraft, ships and shore establishments. BEL has also delivered the identification friend or foe interrogator, a battle management system that will enable P-8I aircraft to distinguish friendly aircraft and forces. Finally, BEL is on contract to provide F/A-18 cockpit panels and has already started delivering on that contract.

Boeing opened the Boeing Analysis & Experimentation Center (A&E Centre) in partnership with BEL in February 2009. Based in Bengaluru, the center provides defense experimentation and decision support services to understand the future warfighting needs of the Indian armed forces. The center is staffed by former Indian military personnel and modeling and simulation engineers from Boeing. The Boeing team works hand in hand with BEL personnel, with plans to create a BEL node in the future.

In addition to defense public sector undertakings, private industry companies play a large role in Boeing industrial strategy. Dynamatic Technologies and Tata Advanced Materials Limited (TAML) have already delivered P-8I power and mission equipment cabinets, and TAML is on contract to provide P-8I auxiliary power unit door fairings.

In 2011, Hyderabad-based Infotech Enterprises, which provides engineering solutions, was one among 16 global suppliers honored by Boeing as a Supplier of the Year winner in the category of “Non-Production.” Infotech was selected from a pool of more than 17,500 Boeing suppliers in more than 50 countries. Infotech has supported a number a significant and critical Boeing Commercial Airplanes projects, currently providing design and stress support on the 747-8 Freighter and Intercontinental and 787-8 and 787-9.

NEW DELHI: In the biggest-ever deal for a public sector defence undertaking, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed a one-billion dollar manufacturing outsourcing contract with American aerospace major Boeing over ten years.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed here by Jim Albaugh, President of Boeing Integrated Defence System and HAL Chairman Ashok K Baweja, the Indian defence PSU will manufacture subsystems for Boeing's wide range of fighter planes like F-15, F-18 Super Hornetts and Apace Helicpoters.
The American company, which is vying for India's major defence contracts for purchase of 126 multi-role combat aircraft and eight long-range maritime reconnisance planes, made it clear that the outsourcing was "without any strings".

Albaugh, however, said Boeing was seeking clearance by the Indian government if it could use part of the staggering amount as credit against any future offsets if it secures any major contract.

"Effective today, an initial tranche of USD 20 million worth of work is being transferred immediately," the Boeing CEO said.

He said the company would in weeks to come be sending material and personnel to set up the manufacturing facility.

HI
i got your point by my question was that if Russia gave TOT of SU30 to india then why has India ordered more Su-30's from Russia

Because that ToT is for specified number of aircrafts only if we want to manufacture more we need to pay Russia the royalty and get the permission to manufacture them.

We are not china who just copy and nations refuses to share new technologies with china for the same reason.
