Metro became Metro Bus, Bullet train will become Bullet Bus, how?

A dedicate lane for the bus and the bus will move at speed of 200+ KMPH non stop except for refueling at dedicated stations. And voila you have Bullet Bus.
Well Mate You have a strong Point There:pop:

Bullet train to run from Karachi to Peshawar, promises Nawaz

KOT ADDU: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Nawaz Sharif on Friday pledged that if voted to power, the best communication infrastructure would be built in the country, and they would start a bullet train to ply between Peshawar and Karachi.

Addressing a public meeting in Kot Addu‚ Nawaz said unemployed youth would be provided soft loans so that they could start their own businesses and stand at their own feet, adding that they would open 10 banks in Kot Addu to provide soft loans. He said the youth was with his party and if returned to power, they would together reconstruct Pakistan. He said relief would also be provided to farmers by ensuring provision of fertilisers‚ seeds‚ pesticides and diesel to them.

Nawaz Sharif said the people would vote for the PML-N on 11th of May for development and prosperity of the country. The PML-N president said had they not been sent into exile‚ there would not have been an energy crisis. He said Kot Addu would be given the status of a district and Chowk Sarwar Shaheed as Tehsil.

Nawaz said it was a pity that Pakistan had no respect in the world despite being an atomic power. He said in 1999 Pakistan was progressing fast under his government but a military dictator overthrew the elected government and reversed the wheel of progress. “We will rebuild Pakistan with the help of youth and Pakistan will again be on the track of progress.

“Had our government been allowed to continue, Pakistan would have been a different country by now,” he added. Nawaz said he was appealing for votes because he wanted to bring Pakistan out of the crises it was facing.

 but im serious

lets keep an eye on this stuff and hope nawaz fullfills his promise

@cb4 your contribution here just like Infrastructure Development in Pakistan thread will be appreciated :enjoy:

Misplaced priority. Better to spend money in some other sectors.

Well if it is Maglev, then the cost would be around 100 billion dollars for such a distance. But a wheeled high speed train would cost much less.

Agreed. Pakistan should focus on semi high speed train like india does. If that run arround 200 KM, it should suffice.

Yes, that is what should be done. Maglev is too expensive (though it is very cool).

100 BN Dollar means 10000 crore USD it means that 10000x 100 Crore PNR.

Yes, that is alot of money. But if Pakistan was a rich country, Maglev would make sense for them in long run. You see, if you look at Pakistan on the map, it is shaped like a long corridor in North to South direction with most of the population living along the Sindh river. So such a Maglev line would connect most of the population at high speed. It is not like India that is a vast country.

Beside it is only the initial cost of the Maglev that is prohibitive, the running cost is low since a Maglev train uses less electricity for locomotion than even its cabin air-conditioning system. And the structures and trains themselves are the closest you can come to being maintenance free since there are no moving parts or friction between parts or tracks.
