KARACHI: The oppressed, yet emotionally charged Karachiites are set to stage a historic protest demonstration in front of the Sindh Chief Minister House on the beginning of 2022.

PSP Chairman Syed Mustafa Kamal on Sunday announced a revolution call against the PPP-led oppressive status quo on January 2, 2022.

"Come hell or high water, we will not let the tyrant rulers further oppress the voiceless masses," Kamal said according to a statement issued on Sunday.

"It has been decided that either rights will be granted to the oppressed ones, or we will embrace death. We will not let the chanters of Pakistan na khappay to further break Pakistan, we will not let the emergence of yet another East Pakistan. We are loyal to the state, and we will protect the remaining integrity, unity and stability of Pakistan to our last breath," he said.

Kamal warned that when people stand up for their rights, no one is more dangerous than them. He said tht the people of the metropolis demand control over their water besides administrative control of roads, transport, hospitals and educational institutions.

Now the rulers have to devolve powers to all the villages and goths of Pakistan. The Rs10242 billion that successive PPP provincial governments received from the federation under NFC, first must now give an account of it, Kamal asked the Sindh CM. Now is the final battle, after that from Karachi to Kashmore, the rights of the oppressed will be granted at any cost.

PPP is working against the country. Today was the last protest of its kind. This is Mustafa Kamal who will take lead, will receive the bullet in his chest first and will not let killed youth of Karachi by sitting in London. Now either we will get rights or welcome death.

He said standing up against oppression is jihad and this is our religious duty. PSP Vice Chairman Dr. Arshad Vohra said that the manner in which the PPP has passed the law in the Assembly has proved that the opposition and treasury benches in the Assembly are alike and are two sides of the same coin.

PSP Secretary-General Hassan Sabir said today's protest was showing that Mustafa Kamal is the name of character, vision, credibility and performance. Central Joint Secretary Naila Latif said that Karachi is ours.

Karachi belongs to Mustafa Kamal, PPP cannot rob us of our house. Member National Council Farhan Ansari said that the people of District East today stood against the black law of PPP.

Good Going, MK....

I hope all factions of MQM get united soon at this point.

May be...

But at least he is showing action on ground. That's what Karachi wants. Change and Action.

He was phenomenal as mayor

He is considered quite intelligent chap among Karachi circles.

He has respect there.
He's still a nobody in the larger scheme of things. PPP ki aik eent bi nai hila skta ye banda.

This is highly provocative given today is BBs sacrifice anniversary.

Traffic disruptions in the city are a nuisance when half of the city is what can only be described as mass excavation.

I urge the city dwellers to maintain social distancing and help stop the spread of diseases.

Lollypops that keeps everyone floating and hoping but nothing changes. Sorry people.... Keep hearing this and live with it.

As long as it's a peaceful protest, its fine. No disruption of daily lives. Mustafa Kamal is indeed a very competent public administrator and could do wonders for Karachi, which in turn would benefit Pakistan a lot. Also look at his statement: A categorical endorsement of Pakistani patriotism. That's what Urban Sindh is about it. There has never been any significant desire to break away from Pakistan in Urban Sindh.
Anyway, I foresee the Establishment of Pakistan is going to be active between now and the 2023 elections to prevent another PPP rule in Sindh and Mustafa Kamal could become a useful tool to organize the urban political parties around him for that purpose. The trick would be to make a PPP loss credible enough for the rural Sindh to accept that...

Is terha kch nahi hoga. The better way is to pickup guns and start sending gifts to all parts of Pakistan, just like our people are getting killed. The way forward is the same for Indian Muslims today, or for the Bangladeshi yesterday. Na bat pehly logon nain suni thi, na ab sunaingy. Better speak with them in the same language which they are speaking.

No. Is Karachi really THAT bad? The issues are of governance and unchecked population growth and Karachi, being such a large city of a poor 3rd world country suffers from governance issues.
The best course for Urban Sindh population is to unite and support the likely winner of the central govt election and try to prevent PPP from winning in Sindh. Regional parties like MQM or other ethnic parties, working in isolation, will never solve the Urban Sindh problems.

The main problem is, people like yourself, although a well-wisher of both Pakistan and people of Karachi, don't know much about the issue. Pakistan in general is in chaos. Taking advantage of this chaos, thugs backed by govt machinary are treating people of Karachi, specially the Urdu speaking part like animals. Thugs from all Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran come here to loot, rape and murder locals. Sometimes people get killed even after handing over all of their belongings to these guys. If Pakistan doesn't want to offer us jobs, then it's OK. We understand that. But when raise our voices against issues, rangers raids and picks up our people. No local guy in local police station, no local guy in power, no local guy as DC or any other power holding position.
Aap hi btadain keh ham Kia karain? So till Pakistan corrects things at home, in my opinion, we should start shooting, and save ourselves.

I agree that urban Sindh is cursed by the PPP rule in Sindh and there is not much can be done about that within constitutional limits. Looting and shooting? It was tried in the 1980s and 1990s with even worse outcomes. And do you think that rural Sindh is flowing with milk and honey despite the trillions given to them since 2008?? They are arguably worse than urban Sindh!

PTI currently has a huge stake in ensuring it delivers to Urban Sindh. If the Rs. trillion package is used properly then will go some ways in addressing urban Sindh problems. THAT's the model for urban Sindh: Join hands together and support the ruling party in center and when possible in Sindh. I see no other way around that. Chaos will set the region back even more; it was tried and tested and failed.

If honey is not flowing in rural Sindh besides all jobs, all power in province, then it's not our fault. Our only frustration is that we should be allowed to do for our society which we can, and in very limited resources. We don't need trillion dollar package, as we know where it will end up. We need freedom of work. That's it.
Edit:
We will Creat jobs. We will bring business to Pakistan (I alone can direct many multinationals to Pakistan, and can uplift Pakistan in chip industry faster than anyone in the world). PPP Jan chory hamari tu koi bat karain.
