ITR bleedoffs offsets minimum permissible variables eg speed. Best an extreme evasive! manouver.
It all comes down to energy management. The M2K is great at high altitudes if its high ITR and average STR are used to efficiently transfer energy from one state to another by a skilled pilot.

Statically unstable profile sets ITR at v low threshold & jets with likes of FC1 have inbuilt functions to inhibit ITR until necessary. Once in ITR with critical velocity below threshold & receding airflows tbere is nothing holding the plane apart from the fan.

Great share. PTV should buy a good mobile phone and use it. They can sell all their cameras to "teen dabbay wala", hopefully will be able to grab few ice cream cones out of it.

It doesnt matter whether the plane hits ITR. What matters is the pilot's ability to quickly recover from it. Sometimes in a dogfight, instability is exactly what you want.
