IDEAS 2016: Pakistan, France sign MoU on technical collaboration for JF-17 Thunder

KARACHI: Pakistan Air Force signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a French company on technical collaboration in production of JF-17 Thunder jets during the ongoing IDEAS 2016 defence expo on Thursday.


As per the MoU, the French company will provide technical assistance to Pakistan Air Force for electrification of JF-17 Thunder jets.

Air Commodore Waqar Haider signed the said MoU with the French company.

Earlier at the expo Pakistan also signed an agreement with Turkey to sell 52 Super Mushak basic trainers and is preparing Super Mushak jets for Nigeria and Qatar.

Engine Harnessing (in general) took bits and pieces from a company website who are experts in this .

1. Tools and gauges are maintained and calibrated in accordance with ISO100012-1 (superseded MIL-STD-45662A) requirements and provide traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
2. Repairing, rather than replacing, an electrical engine harness, such as the CF34 harness, can provide large savings over the purchase of a new OEM harness .
3. a repaid turnaround time on repairs, returning your engine harness to “like new” condition with a warranty on all repairs.


Repair is generally offered on the following types of electrical engine harnesses:
  • Engine gas temperature (EGT) thermocouple systems
  • Igniter systems
  • Full authority digital engine control systems
  • Power management control systems
  • Vibration monitoring systems
  • Engine speed monitoring systems
  • Fire detection and extinguishing systems
Electrical engine harness repair services:
  • Diagnostic testing
  • Complete strip down and rebuild
  • Partial strip down and rebuild
  • Wire replacement
  • Partial or full re-braid (stainless steel, nickel-plated copper ([EMI], Nomex, PEEK™, or other materials as required)
  • Terminal end replacement
  • Terminal box overhaul and harness re-assembly
  • Connector and back-shell replacement
  • Continuity and hi-pot testing
  • Release to service with 8130-3 and C of C
  • Standard turnaround time of two to three weeks after receipt

Hi,

From time to time I keep dreaming up ideas for the Thunder and I have somehow found the courage to present the first.

Feature Request: Electronic wiring converted to 100% Fibre Optic.
Benefit: Increased resilience against EM attacks

Feature Request: Fully fly by wire on all axes with quad redundancy.
Benefit: Ease of use for the pilot during advanced high speed maneuvers.
