Is America weaker than China?

Fault lines in US society are much deeper than China

That is why it will be better to USA to stop poking her nose into other nations' internal affair and focusing on resolving her own which may takes decades.

Since WoT, USA has wasted trillions which could have otherwise been invested in local infrastructure and ramping up of its manufacturing prowess.

Whereas CHINA has stayed away from military flashpoints and focused on economic prosperity. If this continues for one more decade, USA is a lost cause i.e., it will not be the sole super power but the true era of a bipolar/multipolar world will begin.

As far as military comparison is concerned, China is well defended from its NORTH(Russia), West (Central Asia), and south(Himalayas), it only needs ballistic missiles , cruise missiles etc to keep USN away from its eastern coast. I think CHINA has the capability to effectively defend itself even now, let alone a decade later.

China dosen't have hundres of overseas bases like US and thus its no point in comparing overall numbers. its China vs USN(Pacific Command). As far as possibility of economic blockade is concerned, here comes the CHINA-Iran- Pakistan initiatives inaddition to other Eurasian BRI projects. There is nothing stopping China's rise. USA must learn to live with it!

Historically America is weaker than China due to poor geography. China has excellent geography. China is one of the ancient civilizations. America only had Red Indians.

It would be insane to even have such a thread 10 or 15 years ago. The shift of momentum is evident.

Knowledge is the all important factor here, agreed. And USA will likely remain ahead in this area for the foreseeable future. If there are any areas which need more effort, I am quite sure USA will put in what is needed.
Look at how the US slaps sanctions on our high-tech companies.
The action itself says something. Yankees are not as confident as before.
There is no doubt that the US is still the No1 super power.
And there is no doubt that the US is a descending empire while CN an ascending country.

So? Every nation has them.

So what? USA can only do whatever serves its own national interests, just like every other nation, including China. Whoever does it better than the rest gets to the top spot. Simple game.

USA petty much bankrupt itself in the Cold War and can’t never pay back its debt. It look pretty much like U.K. pre world war 2. Due to the fact it still has hardware from the Cold War although it’s dated and doesn’t have enough money to replace all of them.

In terms of an attacking power with a global reach no country can match the US with their Naval Fleets, hundreds of bases. BUT China's military is for defensive purpose and therefor will be much more powerful inside our seas. US does not dare think about a land invasion knowing it's a fool's dream.

Plus China's bio weapon covid is killing millions of Americans on US mainland. No country declares war anymore. All wars are covert these days.

I have a kind of confusion. The United States always considers sanctions against foreign countries, contains foreign countries, bombs foreign countries, and wins over foreign countries. Does the United States not consider how to improve the living standards of Americans?

That’s an excellent question and the answer is NO
